My family has had season tickets since the team moved to the Corral. They were passed down to us kids from our parents, who were HUGE fans before they passed away. I remember how excited they were (we all were) during those great playoff runs.
I must say now I am seriously considering not renewing. I will always be a fan and follow the Flames but I am very very deflated with how ownership and management has handled things the last couple of years.
I am glad Ken King was no where to be seen the last few days because that would have been it. He is my scape goat. I want him gone as the sign of a new direction.

8 wins in a row at home. Any current STH who is complaining needs to give their head a shake.

Any other STH get their "Flames Yearbook" today (of all days)?
Looks like its going to cost $10 when it goes on sale.

My season set is for sale, this was decided before the Iggy trade. Went to 2 games this season, so not too practical. Anyone interested PM me, section 202 Row 15.

They probably won't but that won't stop you and others from continuing to spout this BS.
I will keep my tickets and enjoy the games like I have this year and during the so-called boring Sutter days.

good for you, my reaction was about the entire thread of people saying they may give up their tickets because the team is doing what 99% of people think they should

Totally disagree. You can cheer for the team at home or at the Dome, and neither makes you a better fan. Maybe the amount of money spent on tickets is too much to justify spending. Would you continue going to movies starring the same actor that got progressively worse? Maybe not a perfect metaphor, but my point is you can still cheer for the team, but spend your entertainment dollars elsewhere.

I've never had season tickets with the Flames (for obvious reasons), but I had season tickets for my Swedish team every year that I lived in/near that city. I never even considered giving them up when the team had a number of really poor perfomances and missed the playoffs two years in a row after a 13 year playoff streak (in fact, they came a point away from playing in the relegation division).
However, I also understand that season ticket prices are much higher in the NHL and I wouldn't blame anyone for prioritizing other things over hockey.
If you want to cancel, go ahead. But if you can't live without live-hockey and the Flames, you probably should keep them!
Edit: Oh, today my Swedish team is in the semi-finals, won the regular season last season, And also brought home the European Trophy. There's something special about knowing that you were there during the dark ages as well.

I wonder if Jarome ate at Mercato, Moti Mohal and Japanese village tonight, his three favourite restaurants in the awkward year book.
On a side note, while the ability for the team to win is subject, it's certainly been a much more entertaining game to watch this year than last year. Higher scoring, lot's of d-men getting into the action. So there are some great positives. I found the end of last year hard to watch as they had no get up and go and weren't playing with a lot of passion at a deciding kings game.

Whatever happened to that "Will you cancel your season tickets, without a rebuild", thread? or was I just imagining that, kind of lose track of these will you cancel threads.

Got my tickets when no one wanted them, had my pick in a great affordable section. Not going to let anyone take that way from me.

I gave up my game pack and season ticket share prior to the start of this lockout shortened season. That was because I took issue with the need for the lockout in the first place. I doubt I'll get the game pack back, but probably the season ticket.
If I was a full on STH for this rebuild, I'd keep them.

These are really great seats. I sat in this section for 2 years through a great person who sold me seats who was always nice. Starts with L.
This is the best bang for the buck in the dome!

My brother, Dad, Uncle, and I share 4 tickets - great value seats, whites right at center ice, 2 rows from the way more expensive red seats. We spend about $11K a year on these seats - for the first time since we bought them in the Save the Flames campaign of 2000, the thought of cancellation has crossed my mind.
First, I cant believe what a tradegy it is that we had a premier superstar here for 16 years, and at the same time had a top tier Vezina winning goalie, one of the best young defenceman in the league, and a host of other great parts, but yet did not win a championship. The right mix could never be brought about, and it is so dissapointing. It is a disaster.
Second, the management of this team looks to be a huge mess. From right above the coaches, to the very ownership. So many moves seem bungled, mishandled, and are full of drama. Why does Feaster still have a job after the Regher trade and the Orielly fiasco? Why didn't ownership replace King with Davidson? Why didnt we trade Iginla last week when Morrow was still on the table? The list goes on and on....
I've been a Flames fan since I was six. My family has spent over $100,000 on this team in the past 13 years, if you factor in food, drinks, parking, jerseys, and tickets.... And, for the first time, I'm not sure I want to continue ....
I'm on the fence, but will likely renew this year ... for me, it's going to come down to what they do through the rest of this year, at the draft, and during the summer. I want to see a lot of moves that have big upsides for 2, 3 and 4 years from now. If this franchise remains full of disfunctional drama and shows no sign of repairing itself, I'm probably out next year.
Easier said than done though, no doubt. My Iginla Pens jersey is getting crested as we speak; that much is true.
