I like Pittsburgh a lot more than Boston so I am glad he went there over Boston.
I would like the higher pick but it isn`t like we are looking at a 15th versus 30th so I hope Iginla and the Pens win the Cup and the Flames make an astute/lucky pick with the 30th overall choice.

I didn't think at al I would be cherring for Iggy if he played anywhere else but Calgary. But how can you not cheer for the guy getting an unbelievably great shot at a cup with Sid and Malkin? I mean that team is Miami Heat stacked now.

I on board with cheering against the Pens. Doesn't do us flames fans any good if they win the cup. Iginla can win his cup next year.

Go Pens Go! Iginla deserves a cup and anything 15-30th is a crap shoot anyways.

The Bruins have been my secondary team for quite a number of years. I'm happy Jarome is getting a chance at the Cup but I won't be cheering for the Pens come playoff time.

If we draft 25th we'll probably take a goalie and if we draft 30th we'll probably draft Greg Nemisz's brother who is probably named Dustin or something lame like that. Either way, whatever.
I'm cheering for Iggy.

I'm a huge Boston fan too. I wonder if their play last nite was due to Iggy.
2nd period: We are getting Iginla!!! 4-2 lead and then 5-3.
3rd period: We are NOT getting Iginla!! Loses 6-5.

I am cheering against pittsburgh until the playoffs. If the pick is in the 20-24 range then I will cheer for a second round exit. 25-30 then I am cheering for Iggy.
My bigger problem is I really don't like the Penguins. Mainly because they are held up as a model for the perfect rebuild when really they got lucky. You relpace Malkin and Crosby with Hall and Hopkins and they are barely a playoff team. You can't consistantly rebuild by tanking and winning the draft lottery. It bugs me that their success is tied to a planned tank job when it wasn't.
I also didn't like Crosby early in is career when he was whiny. He is a lot better now. I would have much perferred to cheer to Boston.

I was thinking about this dilemma myself. In my heart tho I want to see Iggy win a cup and the Pens dominate. I don't want to think about it meaning a lower draft pick, I would rather just enjoy cheering for a a legitimate contending team in which I feel I have a connection to. Even if its only through Iggy. As flames fan this situation is good. If Pens get beat out early, yay high draft pick. If they go deep then yay good for Iggy.

After the pain of watching the Flames fail time and time again and where they currently stand I want, scratch that, NEED a good feeling hockey story.
Iginla winning the Cup would make up for a lot of frustrating hockey to me. I may be more biased than some. I was there to see his first point in the Dome, I was there to see his first goal in the Dome and I was there to see number 500. He made this team relevant again and I will always be grateful for how he represented this team and our city. I am excited to watch some playoff hockey and passionately cheer for a team that isn't playing the Canucks.
So, Go Penguins Go! Win one for Iggy.
Oh captain my captain.

I'm a big Bruins fan so this trade was a real kick in the groin since I loathe Pittsburgh. Having Iggy in a Bruins uniform would have been so awesome and to find out it was that close makes me even more upset.
I have to find a way to cheer for Pittsburgh because my love for Iggy, but wow its gonna be tough, gonna watch some games and try to convert myself.

The thought of Iginla wearing the logo of a cartoon animal holding a hockey stick makes me want to rip into a kitten.
(And yes, I see the ironing in my avatar)

I hope the Pens don't win it this year, but after that they can win it for the next 4(until the Flames are contenders again).
Don't really understand people who think there's no real difference between 24-30 though, that's ridiculous logic!
