Red Mile on Friday? Before/after game?

Trying to imagine the coolest way for Calgary residents and fans to acknowledge their appreciation for Iggy and say thanks for the memories.

What about 5,000 (or more) fans do a Red Mile run for old time's sake? Thank you Iggy signs. Iggy jerseys. Wave some flags, honk some horns. Go Flames Go. Good Luck Iggy. Go Win a Cup.

Maybe a news crew picks it up and Iggy sees it? In his press confererence he specifically mentioned the red mile as one of his fond memories.

I know we want to move forward, but wouldn't it be cool to see this happen in Calgary?

It's springtime. Good Friday Holiday. Day of a Flames Game. Maybe before the game? Maybe after?

I am not sure that it would happen. But I think it would be awesome if it did.

This is actually a great idea. If people do, then do it before the game.

I think you are right about before the game being much better. Maybe fans leave 90 mins early before the game and take 17th ave instead of their usual route? Have a beer and walk to the game?

I am 50/50 on it being too cheesy or would it be cool? Like anything, if 10 people did it, it would look silly. If 10,000 did it, it would look awesome.

For now, I will just fantasize how cool that would look if a lot of people showed up and did something like that.
