His peers should make fun of him (in good nature), to his face, and out of the public eye. That is all.

Well to be fair he ended up breaking the 'trade' that was on the table but didn't happen. Which made it even more funny when Feaster bragged about getting a 'real' first round pick! Haha, smooth!

if it's from Ward I would understand but McKenzie and Dreger are rarely if ever wrong when saying something is 100% done

Chillax Bro, its a fair question. He "confirmed" the trade when we know now nothing was confirmed. How can he be taken seriously now? If Im TSN I dont think I can keep him on that basis alone. At least not at his current role now.

He's a great studio analyst. He had a legitimate reason to believe he was reporting correct info. #### happens.

His current role is an in-studio analyst. He is also a former player who happens to have sources. In no way has he ever been billed as an insider. Get over yourself.

I like Ward. Don't really care about his screw up, if I were a Bruins fan I would
Take into consideration that Sportsnet was doing the same thing TSN was

He's a former player and now the laughing stock of journalism. |

I don't think he's a laughing stock, he made a mistake much like many others have. I think people are laughing more at the other people who are making fun of Ward for his mistake.

No...I think the embarrassment he suffers, and future effort to gain back his credibility, is probably going to be enough. No one is exempt from making mistakes. Hopefully is will temper those who try to gain notoriety by trying to scoop things.
All in all, the whole affair made for one of the most astounding evenings one could imagine. I nearly fell over when Feaster announced Iginla was going to the Penguins, and not the Bruins.

Correction...Dreger and McKenzie are more conservative. In the age of social media and 24/7 sports coverage. Networks are always trying to scoop each other...they have to. For anyone in journalism getting the scoop is like winning a championship. Aaron Ward just wanted his scoop. In the end when that was reported even the Bruins thought it was done.

Better fire the Boston management too, since they also thought the deal was done

Someone should pay, not for stating it was for the wrong team, but for freaking us all out with that conditional 1st rounder crap!

Anyone that believed Ward should fire their common sense. It totally failed them.
Dude is a freakin meat head who needs twitter explained to him everytime he looks at it.
