I really don't understand the reaction Feaster is getting on the return. It is clear that they only had a few teams to work with as per Iginla's list. Pittsburgh was offering the most of all the teams Iginla was willing waive his NTC for.

Realistically we weren't going to get a good return for Iggy, and who knows maybe the pick will be a steal and one of Agostino and Hanowski will become 2nd liners. Plus it looks like with our first we could have the next heir to Iggy's throne as the Franchise player.

Feaster pretty much came right out and told us that Iginla chose to go to Pittsburgh.

Their deal wasn't likely the best deal on the table, but it didn't matter in the end.

And obviously a sure 1st is better than a conditional. I'd obviously prefer if we would have got one of their young D prospects, but this to me is better than the Boston deal.

Talent Analysis

Agostino's style of game very much meshes with what the Penguins look for in forwards. He has a good motor, high compete level, and good hockey instincts.

Offensively Agostino posted gaudy numbers at the high school level and while that offense clearly is still there at the collegiate level, his compete level and willingness to play in the dirty areas of the ice are his greatest virtues. He is a solid north-south skater, and while not overly big, he is strong on his skates and not afraid to play a physical brand of hockey.

Ben Hanowski

Talent Analysis

Ben Hanowski is an offensively-minded, goal-scoring forward who brings a mix of size, skill, and character to the rink. The Minnesota native also possesses uncanny vision and does his best work when the puck is on his stick. A shooter by trade, Hanowski has also shown solid puck-distribution abilities and can create either off the cycle or on the rush.

Possessing solid size and supple hands, Hanowski needs to gain more explosiveness in his first step and learn to play a simpler, north-south type of game. He also must learn to become more creative in tighter spaces.
