Feaster thought Khoklachev was "Chocolatechev" and pulled the trigger immediately.

Here's a thought.... What if Iggy doesn't sign with the Bruins and ends up returning to Calgary. Get two good prospects for freeeeee?

Not quite. Depends on what the condition part of "conditional" is.
If the first round pick is negated when Iggy doesn't re-sign, then Calgary essentially got a first round pick.
If it's deferred to the following season (which, I understand, is a weaker draft), it still doesn't look good but Calgary gets 2 first rounders.
Best case scenario? Flames get 2 first round picks, with one in a deep draft this June.

Man when you look at what big name rentals have brought in historically this is one of the worst deals in a long while.
And the worst part is he made it 7 days before the deadline... didn't even wait.

I don't believe the conditional pick. If Calgary turned down Bernier and 2014 1st for this package ... man.
Now I might just cry.

So what if the Bruins lose in the 1rst round to the Leafs and Iginla signs with the Rangers (since all aging star players go there). The Flames get only Koko and Bartkowski. Koko better be real good. But for me, this deal seems reminiscent of the Smyth to NYI trade, which sent the franchise to shambles.
Nilsson = Koko
1st = 1st
O'Marra = Bartkowski

Wish those Burke rumors were true. He's brilliant at trades and a guy that I'm much more confident when dealing players.

That conditional better be that we lose the 1st round pick IF Iginla re-signs with Calgary

I will never forget when I got to net Iggy in person. #12 I hope you win that cup.
Kaberle got a first how does Allstar ledgend, future hall of famer, 2 time Olympic champion, guy who carried to flames on his back get a 'conditional' 1st?????? Lets hope Feaster didn't just pull a "cut for Bieber" and make people ask what's wrong whit the world.

Irrelevant. Both are UFAs. Neither will be traded again before the contracts are finished. People need to chill out a little right now, I think. Wait for confirmation before flying off the handle and calling for people's heads.

On the Deliverence scale of butt rape, I feel like we are at about 0.00 right now. By the time I wake up and find this 100% verified, I expect we will be at 1:00.

The trade is terrible regardless of whether the pick is conditional or not.
So disappointing.

This actually makes a lot of sense.
