Not to mention Iggy's cap hit is high considering his current production level.
I don't honestly know what people were expecting Feaster to get in return for Iggy.
|
This is the last year before the cap goes down, and a prorated salary will hit the cap at less then 3 mill, and the team that acquires him doesn't need to deal with trying to get there own rfas signed. He is the perfect rental. On top of that every trade deadline only the contenders are bidding so about the same demand.... Also there are only 2 sellers so the supply is really low. This is an extreme sellers market and feaster not being able to leverage that into a huge haul makes me question him as a gm.

Have seen it from various places on Twitter, sorry can't recall any specific right now, but have seen the suggestion sprinkled throughout the night.

I am looking at projected 20-30th picks in the draft and hands down that is the best part of the rumored Boston deal. Some very good players in that group, from Nick Petan to Frederick Gauthier. Definitely going to take a little of the sting out come summertime.

At this point, all scenarios are in play. EVERYTHING is speculation at the moment.

I like your optimism, this deal will make or break Feaster.

If his condition is signing it just makes the deal harder to make.

Huh? How exactly is a player who you would have for 2-3 years not more valuable than a player you would have for 2-3 months?

This is such a bizarre situation. If it happens, Iginla is gonna look really good in black and gold. If it ends up being Bartkowski, Khokhlachev, and a pick, that's a bit less than I thought it would take but not much. Those are decent players, Bartkowski might turn out to be a decent second pairing guy, and Koko could be a really good second line centre. Neither is likely to be a franchise guy, but than again Iggy was the consolation prize when Dallas wouldn't give up Todd Harvey so you never know how guys will develop. It's gonna be weird seeing Iggy in another jersey though, even if it is the Bruins.

God I hope Calgary packaged Bouwmeester with Iginla for an ultra package or my boyfriend Dougie "Fresh" Hamilton.
Where's that word filter when you need it?!
