He is hosting a scholarship breakfast at Red Deer College tomorrow morning. Probably decided to take in a hockey game while he's around.

Conflicting tweets. Francis says Iginla announcement imminent, Lavoie says confirmed nothing until tomorrow earliest.

Shane o'brien is the number one reason why we have no chance at being worse than Colorado.
How is this guy still in the NHL?

Shots are 12 to 2 for the burnt out shell of a one proud team.

We have more goals than the other team. If they score more than us, they are winning.

Is it? Colorado is really, really bad. Even without Iginla I can't see the Flames finishing below them unless the Avs torch Sacco.

I wouldn't be too shocked to see the Flames do better without Iginla. His stepping aside makes room for others to grow and fill in the gap, and it will change a failing team dynamic. How long lived the impact will be is questionable, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Flames play a touch above .500 the rest of the way without him.
Or this could just be Colorado.

With our luck, just well enough to finish 9th. And I don't mean that in the typical drive by, unoriginal one liner way. I mean, I legitmately think that's what's going to happen.
