I am not reacting to what we are getting in return for iggy.
I am reacting to the fact that the player I grew up with and was the reason I really became a flames fan is on his way out.
It had better have been his decision and not having his hand forced. I will vomit if he says he wanted to stay a flame for his entire career.

Yep you would think all you idiots that wanted Phaneuf traded would have learned from their stupidity what that gets us then. This will make that look good. Same people that defend the fatass for getting lucky he didn't totally screw us over only weeks because Colorado saved us from his stupidity. Doesn't change what almost happened thanks to him and what he is going to trade Iginla for now.
The only way Iginla should have been in play is with a competent GM and if he was signed to an extension first so that his value would be viewed more than a rental player.
Even if they have a deal with him that he will be back in the off season to do this needs to mean you get something. We will get a bad draft pick and some mediocre prospects that won't be here in the blink of eye just like everybody but Stajan was gone in the blink of an eye and that is only because nobody wanted Stajan and all the GM's were busy laughing at us.
