Given that experience, I'd be very happy with Iggy for Kokh+Bart+1st, which ultimately is what they said they wanted: A-level prospect + B-level prospect/roster player + 1st round pick. I just hope we're not giving anything else up...

When did Koko become an a level prospect? He is a b level prospect, bartkowski is a d type. The only good part is the first rounder.

Sorry for the image size.
Damn onions.

This organisation is a joke not for trading Iggy now for pure crap, but because they sat on their hands for years, watched this team rot when it was clear as day its a terrible strategy to watch Iggy's value detoriate AND THEN trade him for some shrimp Russian kid and Butler part II

The thing I don't understand is, why now?
A week to go until the deadline.
Everyone knows that GMs lose their mind closer you get, plus there would be different teams in play, different positions

The Flames should be loading up on talented centers like they should be goalie. It's so much easier to move a centre to the wing, then turn some kid whose never played the middle into a centre.

This sounds horrible, and I feel bad for saying it, but a big part of the value in this trade is management finally letting go of 2004 and taking stock in the disaster we've become.

Bruins probably put a time limit on the trade offer.

Well growing up, long before I moved to Calgary, Boston was my 2nd favourite team to Detroit, and then Boston did us such a solid keeping the Canucks from getting a cup so do it up Iggy and the BBs!

Feaster might wanna delay that trade call. If the Bruins blow this lead Bartkowski might turn into Spooner.

My thoughts exactly. What they got today in exchange for Iggy is likely the most they could have got. Iggy is not close to the player he once was and he's only going to decline from here.
