None other than maybe St. Louis who doesn't seem available.
But plenty of Iggy-lite with much less returns exist.
Clowe, Smyth, Booth aren't goi g to give you Iginla like results but cost a lot less.

I'm starting to really hate the Bruins because of Chiarelli's childish way of using the media to try to lowball the Flames.
I would like nothing more than to have Iginla traded to their rival who then proceeds to pummel the Bruins in the first round and then go on to win the Stanley Cup.

Jagr is still potentially in play as well.

There was a tweet in another thread that said the Sharks want a 1st and young player for Clowe. Bruins would have to consider going the route of Iggy at a higher price rather than the Clowe price.

This is a few pages back, I found this oddly funny:
Quote:
2006 - Pittsburgh acquired C Krys Kolanos, LW Niklas Nordgren and a second-round pick from Carolina for RW Mark Recchi.

Yeah I'm not gonna doubt the guy who traded Phil Kessel for Tyler Seguin and Dougie Hamilton. My money is on Chiarelli, if he trades for Iginla, fleecing Feaster pretty badly.

Please do, Feaster!
I beg you to trade away Kipper and Iggy!
Just so we can draft another Dingman with all these first round picks we are getting back!
Absolutely building up tons of reputations for this franchise with this whole disappearing act, what a clown that Darryl guy was!

I can guarantee you the "new-era" will, at worst, miss the playoffs just as well as the current group has the past three seasons. Give your head a shake.

exactly, he knows feasters job depends on how he plays this deadline so he assumes feaster is going to crack and settle for less than he should.

Out of Curiosity, what would an Iginla/Giordano trade get from Boston. They have 26 million in cap and can really add.
Dreger yesterday said there were lots of parts in the deal they were working on.

I love posts like these, fudging the details to strengthen your stance.
Chiarelli traded Kessel for draft picks.
In the end it worked out great for him and the Bruins, but all they were were draft picks.

Is there really anybody else available?
Riberio maybe but he is a different type of player than Iginla, same thing with Roy.
I highly doubt St.Louis is available and if he is I only really see him waiving the no trade for Montreal (just a feeling that he would want to play there).
Asking price for Clowe appears to be a prospect and a 1st....not much cheaper for a guy with 0 goals.
Smyth is an option but does he really leave Edmonton again?
Booth is injured and has 2-Years at $4.5 million left and has been mentioned as a buyout candidate. Nobody will be lining up for him.
I think the only real comparable is Jagr...it kinda worries me that Boston will pick him up further limiting Iggy's market.

Jagr is staying in Dallas no doubt, he won't be an option in a couple days.

Right, but even then did anyone think 2 first round picks for Kessel was a good deal? I know at the time I thought it was terrible, and now it's almost historically bad with how the picks turned out. Point being Chiarelli has proven himself a very good GM, arguably top 3 in the league. Jay Feaster hasn't proven much of anything. Lets be honest, if Flames fans could trade Iginla and Feaster for Chiarelli and a first round pick, they'd do it in a heartbeat.

Whatever the return might be in that case, they would certainly have to ship some salary back to the Flames.....especially if they want to re-up Iginla. They may have a boat load of space now, but the cap drops next season and they currently only have $7 million ($11 mil if you count LTIR on Savard) and no goalies signed. Rask is going to cost a fair bit IMO.....probably in the $5 million range.
I really hope Feaster is kicking tires big time on any deal to the Bruins, and that includes checking and double checking the possible availability on players you might think have no chance of being available.....like Lucic, Marchand or even Krejci.
