If they would get moving this series could go on for years. It gets a bit boring when they hunker down, although that's probably how it would be in real life. Can't believe I just said that. haha.
The world is their oyster. Someone should grab a cessna and do some scouting, I'da been airborne long ago.
I'm expecting to see some real guerilla warfare employed by the prison group in the finale - leading the Woodbury troops into blind corners & mowing them down, trapping them with zombies etc.
I also think Milton will free Andrea (or he'll get Tyreese to help him do it) and they'll race to the prison, flank the Woodbury assault team and mow down the Gov.
I could see the Gov taking too many fighters with him to assault the prison leaving Woodbury undefended and open to either attack by the prison group or a big zombie herd that the non-combatants can't handle and they come back to find the town over-run.
As for main cast character deaths....I'm sure we'll see one or two...not sure who but it very well could be Hershel (choosing to play the hero so the rest can escape) or Maggie (but I hope she stays on as one of the few female characters on the show I can stand).
The governors group took a bit of a $&@$ kicking last episode thanks to Merle. Kind of evens up the odds if there is a big battle.
Eh. It might improve them very slightly. He killed 8 dudes by my count, but in exchange they lost one Merle, and in the event of a battle he may have done more than 8 by himself; I wouldn't be surprised. Not to mention the Gov can now use this to galvanize his people. "We went to talk about settling our differences, and instead they shot eight of your neighbours," etc etc.
You know it is going to be Darryl that is going to kill the gov. "This is for my brother you piece of S..." Bam arrow in the other eye.
I don't think it will be that cliche. What's really cool about this show is that it is unpredictable. Sure, we had a suspicion that Ricks wife was going to die because of the pregnancy but to think that Carl was going to have to shoot his mom! Nobody saw that coming. He's going to write in an angle that is unique to the show and it's going to be Governor worthy. There are a lot of characters that owe a score with him.

I'd say it improved their odds a lot more than very slightly. You had 8 of the governors crew killed off and they weren't kids, elderly or of the non-combatant variety. They were the more militant members of Woodbury. Rick's crew is battle hardened and they are defending a fortress. Yes they lost Merle, but I'd take that trade off everytime.
Who is gonna fill their shoes? The people in Woodbury are scared and a lot of them don't seem to a) have the knowledge of combat or b) desire to partake in combat.
Was not happy to see Merle go - not at all. They should've instead killed Glenn and Maggie while he was doing his "proposal" thing Can't stand those two. Why Merle?!

Watching a couple of sneak peeks and the previews for the upcoming finale it looks like the group packs up and takes off.
Andrea looks to take a beating in the chair, or somebody does...I am guessing her.
The Governor storms the prison, but if you look in the background there are no walkers in the yard. In the area where he knocked down the fence. They get up to the doors of the and Allen rips them open that's where the peek ends. I am guessing they lured the walkers inside and use them to ambush the Woodberry group. Using the dark cramped corridors to their advantage.
This may not be the end of the Governor story line...

why don't they trap the Gov and his henchmen in the prison with the zombies, and then just move into Woodbury?
I think Dad one leg gets it right after he takes out the gov., just before the gov rapes his other daughter.
Based on how they have portrayed the character my guess if that happens the Governor kills all the zombies in about 5 minutes with his bare hands, drives to Woodbury before Rick gets there, activates a trap that he had set up because he knew this is exactly what would happen all the while dodging 700 bullets shot at point blank range at him.
