Alright,

I am not sure how many of you have been right out p*ssed about this whole Vince Carter talk. I can't stand it when superstars stand up and request trades because they are unhappy. I think if someone is paying you the cheques you ought to work for them without whining.

I think now that Vince has requested a trade they need to get rid. He hasn't proved his worth the past few years and maybe a trade might turn the Raptors luck around.

I guess the trade rumors right now are Francis for Carter. I doubt that this would accomplish anything but than again it could turn out to be a decent trade.

Has anybody heard anything?

You just figured this out? Carter sux and should've been traded a long time ago

Carter will not be traded for Francis because Francis is a "warrior" I love that comment.

Another good one was when Pat Riley was asked about making a trade for Vince and his reply was...."No, we want to get tougher"

The opposing GM came out and said Francis is not worth Carter hands down. Same with the Knicks GM coming out and Saying Carter isn't even worth Stephane Marlbury (which they got for peanuts from PHO).

Carters value is dropping very very very fast... I would much rather that we locked up T-mac for 1/2 price and let Carter go - hindsight is 20/20.

We aren't going to get full value for him, our only hope is if he comes out this season, takes charge and then we can dish him off for something.

The only thing that I am worried about is that if he plays the start of the season in TO, there won't be any team chemistry cause everyone in the locker room will know about his request to be traded. I say they trade him now before the season starts.

I doubt they will get full value for the guy even if he does got strong at the beginning of the season. He is too much of a liability.

Simmons (no, not Steve...) absolutely rules! His Red Sox columns are brilliant.
