Peverley has a modified NTC. From Capgeek:
Quote:
2012-13, player can submit eight-team trade list by Oct. 1, 2012; 2013-14, player can submit 15-team trade list by Oct. 1, 2013; 2014-15, none
|
Unless he is asked/agrees to waive, I doubt The Flames are on his list of 8.

Flames could always flip him...

Losing Lanny McDonald to retirement was a marketing blow also. That said this team will rise from the ashes and another player will assume the role as the face of the franchise.Theo took over from Lanny and maybe in time Baertschi does the same for Iginla

I'd much rather have Knight.

Why does peverly keep coming up?
Because bruins fans think they can trade us their garbage + b level prospect for Iginla?

I don't want Horton. He's just going to leave in the summer. Plus he has concussion problems.
Please don't Phaneuf this deal, Feaster. The target should be sub 23 year olds and first round picks.

I was being sarcastic.
I don't want Horton either.....well, at least not in an Iggy trade.

This team is headed for some dark, dark times I think...
I just hope that John Weisbrod is the main man behind this rebuild/trades.
Out of anyone in management, I trust him the most.
And Gaudreau will not be traded so long as Weisbrod has a say, he coveted him when he was with Boston and was choked when Calgary selected him.
We are not trading Johnny Hockey, lets see what we got in him, I for one would be ecstatic to finally see one of our home grown picks blossom into something special.
It may not happen, but hell, I would rather find out if he does or not in a flames uni.

I will preface this by saying I never post this kind of thing unless I trust the person I hear it from...
It sounds like the Kings have decided the asking price for Iginla is too high and are backing off.

Not a rumour hack if you scroll through his tweets. Nothing in his tweets that hasn't happened.

Doubt it.
The guy makes it sound like Bowman is buying a house.

This just seems so odd to me for a team to decide this more than a week until the deadline.
"The asking price is too high even though we could have a week of negotiations. Better give up now."

Thats too bad. I think a Bernier + Toffoli package would be one of the ideal ones.
With the speculation that Kipper may retire after this short season anyway, we need something other than Ramo to rely on going forward.
