Count the years after sundin left, plus 2 because Burke is a better gm than feaster, -1 (or 2) assuming flames don't make a trade for 1st rounders like the kessel deal.
So that is my guess for how long till they could be competitive. They could be the panthers, islanders, bj's, oilers by that time just as easily.
Lets face it. Flames are brutal, with little light at the end of the tunnel at this point.

You're a stronger person than I.
These Flames have basically sucked any enthusiasm and enjoyment out of watching hockey for me this year. They are just so bad. Not competitive, just borderline torturous to watch.
To think I used to enjoy nothing more than watching a Flames game. I've watched every game, but damn if it hasn't been a chore.
