Do we have any OHL observers on the board?
Subban must be having a hell of a second half if the Flames are that high on him. I thought he was only average for Team Canada at the WJC. Is he that much better than Broissoit and Gillis that he will make the NHL before both of them?

Just heard Spector on the air and he was asked if Subban may be in play for Iggy.
"No chance" he may be included, Spec says.

Ok.
Please get on the phone to Boston, LA, Chicago & Pittsburgh.
Looks like Feaster needs help trying to sell that to the other GMs. Could use an astitute fan like yourself.
Other GM's are dumb anyways. What do they know.

How do people feel about a guy like Khoklachev? He's the kind of player I wouldn't mind the flames going after... although I don't know how prevalent the russian factor is with him!

Don't blame him. You've got a dressing room full of press strangers, many likely not from Calgary or from Chicago, that wouldn't know Backlund from Comeau milling about demanding to talk to Iginla and get him to cave...but instead have to settle to ask their vauge, leading questions on the topic to other Flames.

No way the Flames should include JG in the trade unless the B's are putting Hamilton on the table

If JG who has really vaulted to being our second best prospect behind Bart is in on the deal then I want Spooner in the deal, no ifs ands or buts.
Plus a first.
Not interested in Subban with Ramo coming over next year and LB graduating to the pro's next year. LB outperformed Subban in the Canada camp and has constantly been a great goalie through his junior career. Subban sounds like he's got Trevor Kidd syndrome written all over him.
I really don't think we need to bring in a goalie as a major piece. We've got bigger holes in our prospect system then goalie. In terms of goalie prospects, we have enough guys coming in that are going to hit the pro's one after another and need development time with as little splitting as possible.

I doubt there's anyway that happens. I've heard really good things about Spooner as a high end future type of prospect.

If they want Iginla and Gaudreau, we get all their picks for the next 5 years.

Pollock saying tweet was more of a joke about how ridiculous the rumors surrounding Jarome have gotten, as anyone with a brain suspected.

If JG is included, I want Hamilton or Seguin. Ridiculous? Yes. However he has great potential and if he's going to be thrown in along with Iggy for something like Caron, Subban and a 1st I'll be pissed.

Bruin beat reporter would love John Gaudreau, but reckons it would be impossible to get him from Calgary.

If we're getting a goalie back as the main piece I want Bernier who is NHL ready. No 19/20 year old goalie prospects please.

Yeah, whatever we do let's make sure we get a 19 year old goalie as the biggest piece in the return for Jarome.
That way we can all excitedly wait.........and wait.......and wait.....and watch Jarome retire......and wait, 4-5+ years for him to maaaaaybe develop into an actual NHL goalie.

Who did Pollock say that he was talking to about how the management believed they were a success by looking strictly at the business ledger rather than the lack of championships?

Watch. The trade will end up being something like:
Iginla, Gaudreau, and a 3rd for Subban and a first.
I think I'd seriously consider driving down to the Dome and punching Feaster in the junk if that happened.

Iginla and Gaudreau for Hamilton and Koko.
If that's too much, suck it. Shero set the benchmark.

Whole heartedly agree. Any goalie who hasn't shown he can play in the NHL is the equivalent of a 2nd or 3rd round pick IMO - tantalizing and prone to inspiring dreams of success based on the rare guys that turn out, but more often than not a bust.
Bernier's the least proven goalie that I'd want being the centre piece of an Iginla trade.

That's a good trade. B's would be incredibly happy to snag the Boston legend.
