If you would scratch him, does the team need to bring him on the road trip for optics, or do you just leave him home?

Circumstantial scenario right now. If any deal has any traction I would consider it. Especially on road games. I would probably play him in home games.

Despite all the hub bub around this in the last 24h, no guarantee he gets moved, so no...outside of a deal that is on the final legs, and may not get finally consumated until the game would techincally start, and thus would have to be announced almost immediately after saying he's scratched.

Same with any player really.

If I was running the team, and I felt I had a deal in place, I'd scratch Jarome. Of course, that's a sign to the world that Iggy is on his way out, so I think a deal would have to be in place and ready to be executed shortly after.

Otherwise, if no deal was finalized, I might play him but with 3 or 4 line minutes to help protect him.

Yes, the STL game would have been his last in a Flames jersey if I were GM...simply too much riding in this deal.

If they are shopping him, then yes absolutely. This is not a normal trade scenario, this could be the biggest most important trade in team history and you can not risk an injury derailing this. The reward of him possibly helping a 14th place team win a couple games is not worth the risk of losing elite prospects and/or high draft picks.

If you're close to a trade you scratch him. Regardless of if the game is at home or not. If he got injured the day before he was supposed to be traded... Well I can't even explain that disaster

If I were to scratch him, with, like, my nails per se, wouldn't he then be injured? I know it's superficial, but scratches can be pretty nasty.

I think you all are vastly over estimating what we will get in return. All that a team is getting is 20 games guaranteed with Jarome. That's it.
