Alright La Salle, thanks for not making my first round in the pool a total disaster.

A-10 is 6-0 and they all are in to the third round! Where's everyone who was ragging on them now! :-)

Ben Howland to be fired apparently on Sunday. UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero likes Shaka Smart and wants to bring him West. Though Shakka Smart rejected a $2.5 Million from Illinois last year that would have made him the 5th highest paid coach in the NCAA.

UCLA says he hasn't been fired yet. Buuuuuuuuut woooooow if they could get Shaka... Look out.

Quick comment on Howland being fired though. It's stupid to fire a guy who has been to 3 final 4's after he has won your league, got a top recruiting class and lost 2 games straight without one of their best players. If you can't get Shaka (or someone similar talent wise), then it would be a stupid thing to do.

Can't ever say never, but I'd be surprised if he took it. He's pretty happy here, and has really settled his family in to Richmond. He's paid well here at 1.5 million and vcu has said he can have more if he wants.

But UCLA is a tough one to turn down and the a10 chaos is not going to help. However, I'm betting on him not wanting to move his family to LA.

I'm sure it's tradition, but as a casual MM follower, that Iowa State "Hey you, your shoe's untied!" chant during free throws went from kinda cool to extremely cheesy and annoying very quickly.

Tom Creen has had decent success but does he ever seem to have zero control/understanding of what is going on in big games.

At some point Smart has to cash in and realize his luck won't last though doesn't he?

VCU might be good for him now but at some point people will realize he is a meh coach and the big chances will be gone.

This might be his shot if he wants to play with the big boys.

Talking to myself at this point but is there anything worse than Craig Seger?

Like Gene Principe with a larger platform.

Your "quirkiness" isn't interesting it is obnoxious and douchy.

Carolina and Kansas, at this point, are a combined 9-49. What a game! Kansas is actually worse than Gonzaga, we'll see if they survive.

I haven't cared much for Reggie Miller this year. He's annoying too.

The only reason I give Reggue a pass is that he tries to have an pinion occasionally rather than the garbage cliches of most guys.

But yes he is annoying.

I have no idea for an event like this.
The highest upper level crappy tickets were $66.00 a piece. However, they were all sold out, so the scalpers sell them for a minimum of $150 each and they go quickly. Lower levels range from $150-$300. Not sure what they are going for this weekend as I am not there due to the snow. I live in Kansas and the Sprint Centre is in downtown KC Missouri, which is about 30 miles away. However, my step-son is there and said he's got some mid level seats for $175 each.

I was sweating there at first, but they've definitely pulled it together. Rock Chalk!

Yes they were showing the snow before the game as fans were lining up to get in. Looks like the Friday night storm in Denver came to the midwest.

The Sprint Centre looks like a beautiful building.
