Remember what 35 YO Kieth Tkachuk retrned to the Blues when he was dealt?
a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a player.
Im looking for that kind of return as well....though with the limited teams the bounty may not be quite the same.

How established of a player is another question, are we talking (BOS) David Krejci, Brad Marchand or Rich Peverley, Adam McQuaid (CHI) Michael Frolik, Dave Bolland or Marcus Kruger, Nick Leddy (PIT) James Neal, Brandon Sutter or Beau Bennett, Simon Despres (LA) Anze Kopitar, Tyler Toffoli, or Dwight King, Jordan Nolan.
This year, Kings also have no draft pick of the first round.

He's been bitter for years. I think his article today suggested the flames were selling the moon to pretend to trade iginla 'see we tried'.
I think one of the reasons Calgary has a fickle fan base is the media has long been cranky.
Really stark when compared with Edmonton - who probably go too far the other way.

Really doubt you see any sort of top line player in any deal...teams need those guys for their PO run.

All you need is two teams involved to get above market value and my guess is that Iginla would be willing to add a couple of teams to that list if he were asked. I have felt from the beginning Iginla gets a top prospect, a mid level prospect, an established forward in the 23-26 range, and a 1st round pick. If Morrow alone is getting a top prospect plus more, then that return for Iginla is certainly feasible.

Josh Rimer @JoshRimerHockey 1m
With Bruins missing out on Morrow, watch talks intensify for Jerome Iginla.

Has the return for Morrow been confirmed? That's kind of important as it will stand as a low end example of what the Iginla return should be.

Lots of people who saw this trainwreck coming three years ago are pretty cynical about the Flames braintrust. The Flames get an easy ride from the Calgary media. You want to see a tough sports city, check out Montreal, Boston, or Philadelphia.

Anyone want to start taking bets on who gets blamed when Iginla nets far less than a lot of people around here are expecting? Even though we know there are several teams bidding on him, and Feaster, King, Weisbrod, Murray, and probably a couple other people will all have to sign off on a deal?

Pretty normal for fans to overvalue players on their own team. Iginla should have more value than Morrow but I am prepared to be possibly disappointed with the return but we are at the point where Iginla is likely not returning next season anyway so any return is better than him walking for nothing.

Iginla on the Kings would likely play with Carter and Richards.... after the first line of Brown, kopitar and Williams this line creates all sorts of mismatches.
There are not teams with 4 d-man that can be on the ice all the time to stop these two lines.
If Iginla get some ice time against the second pairing defense he might get his 30 goals this year. 20 goals in 15 games with these guys would not be so far out of the realm of possibilities....
Iginla always plays better with better players as shown in his olympic efforts.
Chicago had better be able to make an offer to keep Iginla off the Kings.
Sutter and Lombardi in LA have a chance to repeat as SC champs..... that is a near impossible feat in the new capped NHL. Let next year sort itself out...... GO FOR IT!!

Man, at least Feaster must be trying to bargain hard if the return for Morrow is Morrow
