Bruce Garrioch ‏@SunGarrioch 2m Morrow is going to have options - including Pitt and Boston - when he makes his decision.

I suppose I agree with you.

I was just thinking about the Flames trading Theo to COL for Regehr who turned out to be a fan favourite for years and years.

As would I. Part of me thinks LA is at the top of his list due to that reason...

But I just can't see us moving him to another team in the West. BOS & PIT seemed like the ideal destinations...

You are vastly overrating Joe.

Not saying it is the same but sure many fans are fine with giving up Hull for a Cup in Calgary.

The Pens need to worry about now not 2-3 seasons when Morrow might help them.
I thought the Preds really had a shot at the title last year with Radulov, Kostitsyn coming over, the best defense pairing and top 3 goalie in the league. They scored at a high rate last year too. They were very much contenders in my opinion.

The only concern is that Pitt talked about Iggy who you assume they liked over Morrow and said screw it the price is way too crazy.

Good news if this increases the price of Iggy horrible if it makes Feaster price him outbid the market and teams go with the second options.

Considering the news today of Joe Morrow for Brenden Morrow, would it be too much to ask Muzzin, Toffoli and a 1st for Iggy?

Rob Rossi ‏@RobRossi_Trib 37s #TribHKY >> Told B. Morrow is choosing between #Bruins and #pens. So, clearly this is developing situation.

Your first sentence shows the flaw in your thinking there.

I agree Harrington would be a nice get but be prepared for a meltdown if he is a key piece.

Or it could mean that a team like Boston now realizes that, with Pittsburgh picking up Morrow, they need to pick up somebody as well.

That is typical of that board, everybody there thinks their prospects are worth more than Crosby.

Typically this would be the case but by the time we're anywhere close to being able to compete with a team like LA it won't really matter anymore.

For that reason I don't see it a problem to trade him to Chicago or LA if the return is right.

Those two teams will steam roll us for the next few seasons with or without Iggy.

RT @RobRossi_Trib #TribHKY >> finally, #pens unwilling to move Joe Morrow. View him as top overall prospect.

Just as I thought. Ray Shero isn't an idiot.

This isn't bad in regards to Iginla IMO ... there'll be a lot of urgency for the team that misses out on Morrow.

Agreed. It sets the value for the deadline and shows that there is a HUGE sellers market. It also puts Boston in a situation where they need to step up to keep up. This is good for the Flames.
