If the Flames do not have success it is because the right people were not brought in to help Jarome
What limited success the Flames have is because of Jarome
For years and years and years the wrong people have been brought in to help Jarome succeed, whether it is Langkow, Amonte, Bertuzzi, Huselius, Tanguay, Cammalleri, Jokinen, Bourque, Glencross, Kipper, Phaneuf, Regehr, Hamrlik, Aucoin, Stuart, Nolan, Leopold, Bouwmeester, they were all the wrong people.
If only the right people were brought in Jarome could have proceeded beyond the First round of the playoffs.

Half of these are washed up/old players who you can hardly call the right people to bring in. It's like saying let's sign Jason Arnott, he can do the same role Iginla does.

The only players from that list when they came to Calgary that was washed up was Amonte adn Nolan. I guess you could make a case for Bert, but i thought he was fine considering his contract. The rest are washed up now, but were not back then.

That is incorrect and you know it.
You seem to like Iginla > Calgary, wouldn't it be easy just to switch teams when he does get traded?
Everyone wins!

Now that he going to be traded I don't want him to go. But I know this team needs some major changes. I hope Iginla re-signs in the off-season.

Too late. The time to move Iginla was a couple of seasons ago. At this point, it doesn't even matter any more.

If we are getting assets in the form of roster players, high picks, prospects back, how does it not matter. Yes, return may have been more interesting 2, 5, 10 years ago for a future hof'er but not like we are getting nothing in return

Watch us get ####ty bottom 1st td pick, and some prospect who may never develop for the guy who has poured his heart and soul into this team for many years, yeah the future will look really bright with that extra 29th pick!

Still better than losing him for nothing.
I would gladly take an extra first rounder for basically free if that happens.

Were you also one of those fans who wanted to trade Iginla for Peca by any chance?

Are we talking about the same Jason Arnott that two teams with Cup aspirations respected enough to offer contracts this season? If he's healthy, I don't see how he provides any less leadership or veteran presence than Iginla. Obviously he's a significantly worse player, but that's not the topic at hand.

I am just saying that I would rather have positive assets than nothing... How do you know this "####ty" 29th overall player won't turn out to be the next franchise player.
Is it really a hard concept to understand? I really hope you aren't a businessman or anything that helps you to succeed. You would be the type of guy who wouldnt take a promotion at work because you will miss "your current office space".
Nothing personal, I am just not sure what you are trying to say... You would rather have him walk then get a first for him?? Pathetic

Arnott is a Stanley Cup winner, the Flames have no need for a player like that to help the younger players.

I fail to see how trading him to Pittsburgh, then he wins a cup, we lose him for one month then he comes and resigns, so basically we get assets out of pittsburgh for nothing, is a bad idea?

We are talking about how to handle yourself as a pro, including off the ice.
You dont know squat about Arnott off ice and how poorly he handled himself as a pro if you are trying to compare him to Iginla. Next time you talk to Arnott, ask him how "it" is (his word, not mine)
