Been listening to some older Macklemore ever since I heard Thrift Shop, Cant hold us a month or so ago. Really like some of his older stuff. This song stands out for me

Macklemore is very solid. He has to be the first rapper to ever openly promote gay marriage. You got to give a lot of respect to him for that.

Pretty good. Jay's flow is good on this...sounds a lot like older Jay-Z. Kendrick bodies it as always.

Personally, there's no way D-Sisive, k-os, or Classified should be below freakin' Drake. That pisses me off.

Other than that, I'd be inclined to put Shad in the no. 1 spot, but if you think back about Maestro, he's a pioneer on the Canadian Hip Hop scene, so I'm okay with that.

Meh, lists are never that great and always designed to generate debate, controversy, and hits.

Kardinal and Drake are too high. Agree with your comment re: Maestro and Shad. I kind of think Choclair should be higher. Otherwise, good on CBC for naming 25 IMO.
