I've always considered myself to have a few strong brand loyalties, but now that I'm getting older I'm realizing it's much more a loyalty to quality more-so than "brands".
Always been a Ford guy for trucks, but to be honest would buy a new Dodge or Tundra if I felt I was getting a better deal there.
Always been a Coca Cola fan, but if today if I walk in a grocery store and Pepsi is on sale while Coke isn't, I'll take a case of Pepsi to tide me over, just not stock up.
Duracell over Energizer, Crest over Colgate, Reebok over Nike...all much less important to me now than it used to be, but still if there was two identical items and identical prices with those names on them, I'd more than likely choose what I used to feel was important.
That said, at any time if a new company came in and instantly poored as much money into advertising as these big companies do, enough to give the appearance they can offer the same or better quality, I'd definitely give them a try.

Agreed with both, only other whiskey I drink is Forty Creek.
Also back in the day of wood sticks I strictly used Hepsler's, I preferred the Roberts curve but didn't mind the Graves one either. Now with all the composites I don't have a preferred brand.

I use Apple but effing hate them and their arrogance, if ever a company was going to get a massive arse kicking from its customers as soon as theres an alternative its Apple.

As pointed out above, "loyalty" is a weird word for it. There are brands I trend towards because of certain things, but loyalty suggests that I wouldn't change if something better came along... which I would.
New Balance - because they have factories in the U.S.A. and pay their workers a living wage
Stanfields underwear (Sears) - most of their products are made in Canada
Apple - Rarely had a hardware problem in my 15 years of using their computers, iPods, iPhones, iPads. And when I did, the Apple store replaced it no questions asked even without a receipt.
Sussex Ginger Ale - Only ginger ale I buy. Hard to come by, but whenever I go back East I bring an empty bag to fill up.
Mann steamed veggies (veggiesmadeeasy.com) - cook better than the Presidents Choice or Our Compliments bagged veggies
Helium Digital headphones - inexpensive but sound great and are very comfortable. And they last.

I'm loyal to quality not any certain brand. I'd turn my back on any brand if the quality wasn't satisfactory.

I'm a Bullitt man myself.
My god, childhood trauma. "Hey man, check out my new Nikes, what brand are those Pylon?"
"Ummmm Bullitt. They are a rare European brand.... yeah."

I really feel Panasonic missed an obvious branding opportunity by not using the name 'Plasmasonic' for their plasma displays.

Plus, we already had that guy a couple pages back. And as everyone knows, the only thing worse than being that guy is being that guy after that guy has already been that guy.

I've been a plasma guy since the whole "HD" thing started, and thus, have been 100% Panasonic (I owned a Samsung plasma for a bit, but switched back immediately). I've quietly been keeping an eye on the LED side of things though, and if I was to switch to LED right now, I'd definitely go for a Samsung. I used to think I'd go with a Sharp, but Samsung's really upped their game lately with this stuff. I'm not a fan of the stand and trim on the new 8000 series though.
My new 3D blu-ray home theater package is Samsung, and I didn't even bother looking at any other models. Every shopping site I went to, I filtered my results to just Samsung. Even though my TV is Panasonic, I didn't even consider buying one of their systems. I love their plasma screens, but their "smart" UI is not exactly the stuff of legends.
My home theater system is Samsung, my microwave is Samsung, the two SSD hard drives in my laptop are Samsungs. I'm sure I have a couple other things made by them too. When it comes to electronics in general, their stuff seems to work better and is of better quality than the others.
