I think the max this team gets up to is 24th or 23rd in the league and that's if they actually play like a hockey team again.

If we keep on this trend, top 3 is nearly guaranteed.

I have a lot of faith in this team, I think at a worst the Flames will be in the Barkov discussion. I have a hard time seeing them win more than 6 games the rest of the way, 14 points in 20 games maybe. That would put them at 40 points, which should be good enough for bottom 3 or 4.

Top eight is fine by me and that seems to be the drop off point on elite talent. The higher the better but as hard as it is to believe, there are worse teams out there.

I know this has been said many times - but if you want to see real change on this team between now and next year - hope for a noticeably large number of empty seats at home games now that the playoffs are essentially out of grasp - and there is nothing meaningful to play for. Empty seats = changes.

I was still optimistic until today - scoring 2 shorthanded goals and still losing ... wow
