Exactly. It's the Calgary Iggy's. Having him on this team has made us a constant contender who. Iggy brings it every game (except the first 15 or so and maybe down the stretch). Just because we haven't made the playoffs doesn't mean it's his fault....have they tried changing coaches??? What about GM's??? Well at least we can blame it on not having a #1 center.... that always works!

Iggy won't be around for more than 5 more years MAX. In that time (with Iggy declining) do you honestly think the Flames have it in them to win? Winning teams build from within and the Flames haven't, they've only built the team they have through free agency. I'm not saying tanking every year is the solution but going the same direction they've been going in just isn't working. It's hard to let your favourite player go but he's going to go eventually and losing him for nothing doesn't benefit anyone (he could leave in July realistically since he hasn't signed an extenstion so why not get something for him).

Is this a joke? You think a team would give up a first and a decent prospect for Kipps. I love him but your dreaming. Im pretty sure Ryan Miller could be taken from Buffalo for a first and a decent prospect but I dont see teams willing to give up much for a goalie.

a 1st and a decent prospect is not much, not like I'm asking for a top 5 pick. the first would be 20th and up most likely, and I'm assuming we have different definitions of a decent prospect.
