I'll take myers, hodgson and stafford to go please.
Seen Hodgson's name come up before, when somebody else suggested that the Sabres "fleeced" the Canucks for Kassian. Not so sure. Kassian brings toughness. Hodgson has great hands, but his skating is substandard.

Outside of Vanek's hot start Hodgson has been the best Sabres player for the rest of this season. No one is really even untouchable, but I'd say they have no real intention in trading Hodgson and maybe someone like Foligno.
What happened to Tyler Myers btw? He went from winning the Calder a couple years back with 48 points; he regressed a bit last year, but still had 37. And now this season he'd be lucky to get 10. I guess he got paid and is now suffering from Phaneuf/Doughty syndrome, but he's been one of the worst dmen in the league this season. Even Phaneuf never regressed as much as Myers has.
I wonder if there is any chance of Buffalo buying him out in the offseason? Pegula has deep-pockets, and could end up buying out Myers, Leino, or maybe Ehrhoff if things get bad enough.

No way Myers gets bought out. The only person on the Sabres that's on the buyout hot seat is Leino and that's because his contract is so bad he's untradeable. At least there'll be takers for Myers and Ehrhoff.

I'd say Hodgson has really been quite excellent. Lets be honest, if the Flames had a 23 year old center who had 24 points, lots of talent, and an even higher upside, this board would be doing backflips, regardless of any perceived skating or defensive issues.
