He might not be a true center, but he is the Flames best option on the dot and 30th in the league amongst centers who have taken at least 100 draws.

I guess the -7 and how I see him playing is swaying me more than his point total.

Good panel discussion. Maybe Sportsnet is hearing this forums complaints.

If I were a young guy and I had bright orange hair, personally, I doubt I would meander around Dallas with a long bowl-cut. Perplexing.

Except he has 20 points in 23 games and is on a 38 goal pace.
Lol.
Also he's a team-leading 54% on FO this year too.
Seriously, where do you guys come up with your crap? If you're going to trash a guy and basically call him washed up, then at least make sure it's well-founded first.
Edit: and he's always been a pretty one-dimensional player. He's a speedy trigger man, that's what he was for us in '09 and what he did well for MTL in '10. I don't know what people are expecting from him. Is he supposed to go steamroll a 6'2 guy with his 5'9 frame? He's not built for the rough stuff. It just wasn't so obvious when we had a bigger, Sutter built team that could protect.

I thought he was a good grinder for us, back in the day. You couldn't argue his drive.

Cammy has been great on the PP, but not that good at even strength this year.

Leads the team in points. It's amazing how much crap Tanguay gets when he's the most skilled player on the team and adds so much offensively.

He was but he wasn't worth what he signed for $2.5MM I think for a grinder.

I know he isn't a prototypical power winger or big center, but he does a lot of things well. Let's not throw players under the bus that don't deserve it.
Now Tanguay on the other hand....

You mean the 21pts in 26 games Tanguay? LOL....

IMHO, he's been invisible for the last 5-6 games. If not invisible, he's been very inconsistent and hasn't been willing to do anything physical like battle for a puck. He's good normally, but has been pretty poor lately. Just my opinion...
