I guarantee you that it won't take 68 points to make the playoffs this season. That would prorate to 119 points in an 82 game season. Of course we'd like to win them all, but there's no reason to exaggerate and say the Flames are blowing a "must-win game."

Primarily because they have the 9th highest cap in the league right now and they're just wasting the money spent on their team by the fans and sponsors.
They could cut 10 M in payroll and still be at the same spot in the standings.

Games like this can only help this team in the long run. Can still cheer for them to do well, but understand that you have to hit rock bottom before you can begin the climb back to the top.

Lots of reasons to be upset with the team, no doubt, but why does anyone care how much money they are spending? I simply dont get that.
