It might be fun, next season, to have some flashbacks to right around the time the zombie apocalypse began. Maybe we could have a whole arc dedicated to Morgan after Rick left him. Or see Michonne's back story and how she ran into Andrea. I'd like to see pizza delivery boy Glenn and how he met up with everyone else at the camp. Heck, let's see how Phillip and Milton became the Governor and the Nerd.
Would anyone here not want to see that stuff?

When the Gov kills Milton Andrea snaps and gets a knife from the kitchen and kills the Gov in the study.

Some points that people brought up...
That woman is not Tyreese's daughter or wife, it is his sister.
Andrea hid behind the door, the zombies flooded out and after the Governor.
I assume Andrea didn't take the truck because after what happened at the prison, Rick's group will most likely fire on cars driving up. If I'm not mistaked that truck was the one they used on the prison assault.
Milton probably knows some ways in/out of Woodbury without being noticed, and if you can't get behind that logic then how about he just told the guards that he was going to look for the Governor since he wasn't back yet. If you can't get behind either of those then I don't know.

Why would they waste their time with zombies in a pit they need a hoist to get them in and out of? Aren't there plenty of zombies wandering around they could grab. Or are these special zombies? A little over the top.
I guess the whole prison crew had the week off for holidays or something.

Why would they waste their time walking around catching one zombie at a time? Mass zombie catching in a pit seems less dangerous and quicker, but that could just be me.

I think it was the weakest episode of the second half, but I still enjoyed it. I was a little let down that they spent an entire episode on this stuff, but I understand the build up.
I made the mistake of watching part of the Talking Dead after.. the girl who plays Andrea is even more annoying than the character her self.

Three straight filler episodes now. Still the season is much improved over last year as David Morrissey has done a really good job in the villain role.

No Andrea didn't take the truck because she is an idiot. Why not drive the truck 90% of the way there and just walk the final 2-3 blocks then?
At least the episode ending well. Andrea ball and gagged and couldn't utter a peep.

Lol...no she wasn't. I thought it was interesting to hear her speak about the fans almost getting after her about things that her character is "written" to do in the show and the fact she was defending "Andrea" as herself, Laurie. Amazing how much dislike/hate people have for her. I simply don't get it.
Personally I thought the episode was good fun and people are really expecting and bitching about way too much here. Holy...

How do they get them in the pit?
Maybe the gov. had the keys to the truck. I was wondering why Andrea didn't just leave the building and drive away and that's what I came up with.

My theory is the Governor took the keys with him. Otherwise he'd be risking the chance that Andrea would slip by him and leave him stranded.
Edit: I didn't see Duff man's post

Easy to do with minimal work. Just cover the pit with a tarp and put some fresh meat on top. They'll fall in, and just repeat the process. Pretty much just like a lobster trap.

That was terrible, she shouldn't have even been able to open the door. Andrea first opened the door while trying to hide from The Governor, she's surprised by the zombies who see her and she closes the door. The zombies should have made their way to the door trying to eat her, that's what they do. When she goes to open it the second time the zombies should already be at the door pushing it the other way. There's no reason she should have been able to open it, get behind it, and have no zombies go for her instead of The Governor. It was just a terribly written scene.

I'd rather just go with the idea that The Governor had the keys on him, don't think Andrea has shown the ability to hot wire. Maybe in retrospect she should have slashed the tires but there's absolute no reason to believe The Governor was alive, the only way he would be was if those zombies had decided to go vegan.
If she was capable of grabbing the souped-up zombie truck, it would make a whole more sense than travelling the entire night with just a shiv as a weapon. Could have parked it before she got to the prison, even if it attracted some zombies it would be safer than stumbling around in the forest in complete darkness I would think. That's pretty much what The Governor likely did anyways to ambush her.

There were these massive man-made wind chimes they had it seems to draw them into that open field. You could see them right before Milton drove up and lite the mother ####ers up.

I hear what you're saying, but to be honest, I kind of like having no back stories. No idea what these people did before the apocalypse began. No flashbacks, ala Lost. It doesn't matter - the previous world is gone and they all have to focus on the here and now.
I wouldn't mind flashbacks I guess, but I have no problem with staying in the here and now. It's kind of mysterious to guess what these people used to do before the apocalypse came around.

For fun, here's how I see it playing out... Milton steps in to stop the Governor from torturing Andrea and ends up dying. Andrea ends up killing the Governor. Tyrese steps in and ends up killing Martinez when Martinez goes after Andrea. And then Tyrese (somewhat reluctantly) becomes the new leader of Woodbury.
We're done with Woodbury in Season 3 and move on to something different in Season 4. Perhaps we'll find a new villain...?
Note - I don't read the comics and I'm just having fun speculating...

i came up with an idea last night... most likely wrong but
Did anybody else get the impression that the gov was hiding/favoring his right arm during the tyrese and milton scenes near the end of the episode? Perhaps he was bitten in the warehouse?
Perhaps his plan has changed due to the bite, and now he plans on exacting his revenge on Michonne by putting Andrea in the torture chamber and locking himself in there with her while he turns. He will then eat Andrea in the chair in a final twisted gov way.
Far fetched?

For the pit I like Martinez as the arsonist. The Woodbury vehicles are all parked within the town (the truck at the pits was cattleguard equipped) and there only seems to be the main gate as an exit. Milton would have been questioned as to where he was going but Martinez is in charge and comes and goes as he pleases.
His open talk with Darryl 2 episodes back showed some humanity. Also when Tyrese went off on his friend at the pits Martinez stood back and even brought them back to town instead of just shooting him or tossing him into the pit.

Clearly Milton was the one who lit all the zombies on fire. I'm pretty sure no one else did. I get the feeling that it'll be Milton that will be going to the prison to warn Rick and everyone about what is going to happen to Andrea. They'll reluctantly let his useless ass into the group after half an hour of suspicious looks and discussion of whether or not he's a spy.
I also think Tyrese and his wife will defect from Woodbury and join Rick's side despite the weird first impression of him.
Oh, and I agree with everyone. She's an awful actor and her one facial expression has run its course.
|
I think the key to this is that it appears that Rick thought he was seeing things again, plus he could have waited quite a while.
