He doesn't go top 10 based on the Russian factor alone.

Nichuskin is signed to a three year KHL contract (this season and two more), and this could really hurt his final draft position depending on interviews, but on talent alone, Nichuskin is an easy top 10 pick.

Also in the new NHLPA deal didn't they extend the time to sign Euro players. It will make him a long term project though for sure.

My bad, he signed it during the summer. So he'll still have 2 years left.

Like Tarasenko, I expect him to go around 15-20.

Which could be where the Flames end up when all is said and done. Depending on interviews he could be bought out of his deal and start here earlier.

Regardless of how goaltending stats translate between the KHL and NHL, it's good to see Ramo playing well when it matters most. That's the type of thing that translates anywhere.

Wonder if they will try and buy him out of the KHL now? MacDonald has been good as the back up, but they might want to see what Ramo can do for the rest of the season, if they are going to be making major moves at the deadline. More than likely not, just a thought.

Perfect, bring him over.
Alexander Radulov's team was also eliminated, wonder if the Preds try to bring him back again. Would love to trade for his rights and let him play his game in Calgary.

I think it is very unlikely with the Flames sitting at 49 contracts and 5 of them being goaltenders. If a goaltender and his contract are moved then maybe it is a possibility.

I think Radulov burned that bridge when he came back and coasted.

I think he would've done well in Hartley's system. Too bad though, just read he's signed a 4 year contract in KHL last summer making 9.2 US million a year. So safe to say he's done.

Darren Haynes @DarrenHaynes_CP
When #Flames prospect Karri Ramo next puts on a hockey jersey, which will it be? His KHL playoffs ended today, 3 GA on 25 shots in 4-0 loss.
Buy out his contract and have him here for next week?

I highly doubt it. They tried that last season and got suspended for staying out too late.

Kinda off topic, but does anyone know off hand if Ramo is in NHL 13?
