Went to GnR in October. We sat in about the 4th row on the balconey. From what I recall the sound was great. More or less an intimate venue (4000 people) good LoS of the stage.

they use "The Joint" for mortorcycle shows and UFC fights as well.

Going next month. I've been a couple times before, but can't recall the rates for cabs vs. limos from the airport to the strip. There will 6 people, maybe 8. IIRC cabs go for about 15-20 bucks, limos are about 45 and up. Is this about right?

For the taxi it depends on where you are staying and which way the driver takes you. I went to Bellagio from the Airport and the driver took me a fairly direct route, and it cost me about $18. My wife joined me a couple of days later, her cab driver took the tunnel and it cost her about $32.

I reccomend hitting up Bautistas hole in the wall resteraunt in vegas, it is a block off the strip by Bally's and is this little old mob resteraunt with no windows. Really cool place, has pictures of all the old entertainers who have eaten there and amazing traditional italian food. Plus all you can drink red and white wine.

Anyone have good experiences with some Vegas poker tournaments? Looking for more of the lower cost ones, $50-$150ish.

Bravo Poker Live is an amazing ap/website too for finding live games and tourney info. A lot of poker rooms post their current game lists and waiting lists to it.

Little known fact about vegas cabs. If you tell the cab driver to take you the cheapest way they HAVE to go the cheapest way, you can report a cab that doesn't and they can be ticketed.

You may notice they always ask if you want the freeway (thinking it will be faster therefore cheaper) but it isn't.

When we had our wedding down there we used http://bell-trans.com/las-vegas-limo...-of-las-vegas/ for shuttles and general transportation. Cheapest rates we could find and they were awesome to deal with

Yah, $20 including tip should get you from the airport to almost anyhwere on the strip. Do not pay for a shuttle. Some airlines try to sell them and say it is $xx to get to the strip but really it isn't. Last time we stayed at Paris and $20 included the tip both ways, can depend on traffic though.

I think that a cab can only take up to 5 people though so maybe look at a limo as opposed to taking two cabs

Another quick tip. If you are taking a cab or limo to a club, gentleman's club, etc... with cover, many times those places don't actually charge cover and the "cover" is actually a kickback to the driver. Find a nearby place and get let off there. Walk from there to the club and get in cover free. There's a reason why all these places are giving out free limo/party bus rides to these clubs.

Most of the gentlemen's clubs will actually waive the cover if you take their free limo to the club. It's cheaper for them to pay a limo driver's salary to pick up guests than it is to pay the $100 a head kickback to the cabbies. If you don't feel like waiting for their limo, you can either have the cab drop you off at a nearby intersection like blankall recommended, or negotiate with the cabbie before you get in and get him to agree to give you the cash to pay the cover. Do not tell the club that you did that, though, or he won't get his kickback and you'll make some enemies.

This is gonna sound stupid but what is there to do in Vegas for an underaged guy like myself?

I just realized I'm going in less than two weeks and I have nothing to look forward to besides going to In-N-Out Burger. I'm not staying at a hotel.

Priceline a rental car. The cheapest thing you can find, preferably Dollar or Alamo rent a car. You will usually snag one for 7 or 8 bucks a day. Preferably dollar though, because if you get the cool older black lady (Vivian?? I think), she will always upgrade you. When you go to pick your car, just ask for a complimentary upgrade, and you will usually get stuffed into a mustang convertible at this time of the year. A $20 hand shake will also guarantee it if they are being stubborn.

The last time I went, my rental cost me $47 for 4 days including all taxes. for a Mustang convertible or a midsize. Cheaper than any cab or limo you will find. And all hotels have free parking as well.

I'd check out the nearby Grand Canyon. The M&M store is cool...lots of M&Ms.

You can go alone if over 18, but will need a parent or legal guardian if under 18. Shoot a Dessert Eagle if you feel like scaring the crap out of yourself. It's a massive hand cannon with lots of kickback, and a huge fire ball comes out the front when you fire it.

The shows are great See the Cirque shows Ka and O. The Blue Man Group is suppossed to be awesome too. I want to see Penn and Teller as well.

The rides on the top of the stratosphere are pretty cool too. A drop of doom at the very top of a skyscraper adds an extra element of awesomeness. Great view of the city there too.

Check out the outlet malls.

Spend some time walking around and checking out the bigger hotels. Gaudy but some of them have put in an epic amount of money to make them look pretty cool.

we just got back from vegas last week and used these guys to/from the airport much quicker then waiting for cabs. http://www.presidentiallimolv.com/ There was only 4 of us but 100$ got you to and from plus a bottle of chamagne on your arrival, would definately do it again

I thought about a rental, but I'll be drinking pretty much non-stop every day, I don't think driving a car in a foreign country in that condition would be in my best interest.

Golf in Vegas?? Places, prices, worth it or not? Just looking for some general info, also will it be to hot to golf in July?

I was in Vegas in July a few years ago, it was 100 every day, however, it did not feel that hot, and I am told that it what does people in.

Personally, I love golfing in the heat, so I think I would like it. I have never persoanlly golfed in Vegas, but have been told golfing close to the city is not great value, but if you're willing to drive, there are nice courses that offer more wallet friendly green fees. I have also hard that some courses have carts that are air conditioned.
