Showgirls got us the win!
It was a good game, but Iggy must have heard some of the trade talk because that was a pretty terrible game for him out there. I guess this team can actually win games with him not being a part of them.......

Hope we win every game from here on out and was the 4/5th guy to vote in the Kevan Guy thread.

Whats with all the Showgirls gifs?
Frik Elizabeth Berkley is rough. That chick could eat an ear of corn through a tennis racquet.

I love the washed up hooower look.
Gina Gershon looks freaky deaky. Like a classed up version of that woman from the Craft and various other movies where she plays white trash.

There is no chance that this team can win 8 games in a row. No chance. I think some of you may have fallen when the Flames scored their 5th goal tonight, and now have a concussion. You may want to head to the ER.

The Flames are probably a top-5 team in the league in the offensive zone, so creative off the rush, working off the instinct that Brent seemed to discourage. And they have the players to finish a high percentage of those plays.
Defense unfortunately is even worse than the Keenan teams but that's what happens when you build around guys like Bouwmeester and don't have the hard-nosed shutdown guys like Regehr in his prime, and even Aucoin who was pretty solid. Not to mention no defensively capable centermen like Langkow.
Games like this is why the forwards like to camp out at center ice waiting for low-percentage outlets from their overmanned D. They score enough goals so it doesn't discourage them from doing it.
It's not a playoff team but at least they're fun to watch. A terrible matchup for teams like the Kings and canucks who will systematically cycle and lean on the D opening up easy goals...but a great matchup for a team like the Wings who seemed to want to play the Flames' game and just didn't do it very well. Boy there's another team with a terrible blueline - lots of turnovers tonight.
At least Kiprusoff outplayed another teams backup tonight. The Flames need elite goaltending from him in order to even get close to the playoffs this year.
Gap control from the D looked much better tonight especially from Wideman. As always consistency is another story though.
Far too talented a team to finish last (especially up front), but not going to win playing this kind of game most nights. At least they are entertaining to watch and have won 5 straight at home which is nice for the fans.

Yep. They also don't matchup well against the Yotes, who like to trap, hook, hold and interfere like crazy.

I've never understood why I find Gina Gershon so attractive. But I do.
Anyway, this win was useless unless they string together another 3 or 4.

Same reason one watches Belladonna in porn.
She'd... she'd do things.

Nope im not convinced, neither was Babcock on his interview. Its more about their goaltending and D than us. The Oilers beat Chicago recently, even bottom feeders have their day once and awhile. Still nice to steal a win though.
