No they don't. 11 of the 23 games are against playoff teams and another 5 against San Jose, Dallas and Nashville who could easily be playoff teams. Add in 13 road games and it's not going to be anywhere near easy.

BRUTAL attitude, I know, but it's just how I feel after everything that has transpired (lockout included). It is exhausting cheering for this team and this collection of millionaires. And not that fun anymore. I'm sure I'll still follow along like a lapdog though.
You're not alone, but I think we all feel a little calmer and happier when the team wins. Losing sucks, period.

Nice baseless insult.

But great to see that we are in the het anyone can string together 7 or 8 wins miracle BS.

I agree the Flames can do it but so can the 7 teams ahead of them.

Would be nice to hear a argument for the team that doesn't involve s can happen.

If you are cheering for losses, there is a team 3 hours up the highway that would love to embrace you with open arms.

BTW, you still in for the golf tourney? Get your vote in so we can set the date.

I am pleased that they were able to get the win, and that we saw increasing amount of production from our players. It's all good.

Team is so similar to the Keenan editions it's not even funny.

The Flames are probably a top-5 team in the league in the offensive zone, so creative off the rush, working off the instinct that Brent seemed to discourage. And they have the players to finish a high percentage of those plays.

Defense unfortunately is even worse than the Keenan teams but that's what happens when you build around guys like Bouwmeester and don't have the hard-nosed shutdown guys like Regehr in his prime, and even Aucoin who was pretty solid. Not to mention no defensively capable centermen like Langkow.

Games like this is why the forwards like to camp out at center ice waiting for low-percentage outlets from their overmanned D. They score enough goals so it doesn't discourage them from doing it.

It's not a playoff team but at least they're fun to watch. A terrible matchup for teams like the Kings and canucks who will systematically cycle and lean on the D opening up easy goals...but a great matchup for a team like the Wings who seemed to want to play the Flames' game and just didn't do it very well. Boy there's another team with a terrible blueline - lots of turnovers tonight.

At least Kiprusoff outplayed another teams backup tonight. The Flames need elite goaltending from him in order to even get close to the playoffs this year.

Gap control from the D looked much better tonight especially from Wideman. As always consistency is another story though.

Far too talented a team to finish last (especially up front), but not going to win playing this kind of game most nights. At least they are entertaining to watch and have won 5 straight at home which is nice for the fans.

A 7-8 game win streak, with .500 hockey the rest of the way, might win us the division.
