I have to admit, that Fast & The Furious trailer looks bad ass. I might actually go out and see it.
if it's by the same people who made the last one, then as ridiculous as it is it should be pretty good. i remember watching Fast Five thinking that there is no way i should like this movie, but i did. the key was that they made things so ridiculous that it went beyond stupid and into awesome territory
the two Dodge Chargers ripping out the bank vault and towing it around the city (destroying half of it in the process) is one of the dumbest things i've ever seen in movie history, but yet it was awesome
My cousin and his amazing collaborators at Coatwolf Productions are starting a new project. They had great success with their last film Bellflower. You can help them make this film outside of the Hollywood system. Pre-purchase DVDs or paraphernalia, donate, or just watch the clips and spread the word if you like...
Essentially it'll be a mashup of 'The Warriors' and the video game 'Double Dragon'.
Video about the movie with test footage starting at about 1:30
Fast and furious is fine if you go in expecting a bunch of eye candy and zero story quality. Which is completely fine. Some movies try to be more than what they are, F&F is just fine. It knows its a cheesy story based around implausible heists but who cares, it never once tries to be artsy or serious. In that way it's better than a lot of garbage that tries to present itself as intellectual and provoking when it's just rambling and irreverent.
They should just be called fast cars, objectified women and vin diesels triceps. That would be more honest. I'll probably see the 6th, they are fun to just zone out and watch. It's not wrong to enjoy mindless action every once in a while
edit: what is the Rock eating steroids for breakfast now? He looks like a monster now.
