Default March 7, eleven games!

A busy Thursday, the NHL likes alternating heavy and light scheduling on a daily basis.

Games that began at 1700h and in
the first intermission.

Penguins at Flyers,
game is on NHL Network USA.
It is currently 3-1 for the Flyers and it should be another
crazy game between these state rivals which makes this
the game of the night.

Habs at Hurricanes, game is on RDS in french.
Montreal leads 2-0. Peters and Price are the goalies.

Leafs at Bruins, game is on TSN.
Boston is up 1-0 with Khudobin and Scrivens in goal.

Panthers at Capitals
looks to be over already.
Washington has jumped out to a 4-0 lead, Ovechkin
with two assists.

Rangers at Islanders, the Islanders lead 1-0.
Canucks at Blue Jackets,
the BJs lead 1-0.
Sabres at Devils is scoreless.

The Flyers score and they now lead 4-1. Fleury let all four goals in and has been repleaced by Vokoun.

The Leafs have tied their game up at 1-1. The Hurricanes are only down one goal now, 2-1 for the Habs and the Sabres lead 1-0 over New Jersey.

This Canucks/Jackets game is as bad as any game with the Wild was in the Lemaire era

The Penguins have scored twice to make it a 4-3 Flyers lead. I think Bryzgalov will get pulled. The Bruins are up 2-1 over the stinkin' Leafs and the Hurricanes have tied the Habs at 2-2.

4-4 now

Regardless how the East standings end up, Penguins Flyers should play in the 1st round.

While I would love that to happen again, I don't see the Flyers getting into 5th place. Maybe 7th.

Detroit is dominating the Coilers. Could easily 3 or 4 zip if Detroit had any finish.

Is it just me or do the Oilers just stand around a lot in their own end. Either they don't know what to do or they hope that their opponents will run into them.

They're very badly coached.

Since my previous post, Detroit has scored again, hit the post and the cross bar and I dont think have left the Oilers zone for more than about 30 seconds.

Vancouver with no power plays yet? Could that be correct? What is wrong with the refs?

I guess youth doesn't necessarily equal passion?

These Oilers look worse in the give a #### department than Calgary has in their poorest moments this season.

Pretty funny stuff.

Detroit's bringing up a lot of capable young kids that seem to come out of nowhere. In a couple years they could be back up in a top seed.

No. Dear God, please no.

I am so damn sick of watching the Flyers I could scream. These games turn into crap shows of bad goaltending, no defense, and a complete and utter lack of any form of discipline. They're awful hockey games, everyone on both teams reverts to a sniveling whiny jerk who takes too many liberties with his opponent. I despise Pens/Flyers games with every fiber of my being.

...Sorry. This rivalry makes me all kinds of rageful.

Agreed the Pens/Flyers games are brutal. Neither team seem to be able to find a way to reel in the stupidity, I don't understand it. MAF goes from questionable to completely useless, Pittsburgh would be better off just going with 6 skaters and no goalie.

So many people act as if they're fantastic games. A ton of goals does not always equal good hockey. They're just not good hockey, they're beer league garbage games.

End of the second period in Detroit and the Wings still lead 2 zip, which flatters the Coilers hugely. If Detroit had any finish yhis could benanother debacle of monumental proportions.

It's amazing how much better Crosby is than everyone else in the league.

Plus the Flyers have to be the least likable team in the NHL. Bunch of arrogant goons if you ask me, but the Pens lower themselves to the brain dead goonery for some reason.
