Flames Next 3 games: Make it or break it

@ANA
@LA
@LA

IF they can steal a win and another point and come out of this with 3 points, I think they will have a shot at the playoffs. If they can get 4-5 points then the playoffs become a real possibility.

This will be interesting.

Not really. Especially when we end the season playing most of our games against our own division, the crappiest in the league.

Doesn't it seem like every year the Flames have a crucial run in California? Last two years they blew, we'll see how it goes this year. I think 4 points out of these 3 games is a success

In a sense, every 3 game stretch is crucial from here on out. A 3 game losing streak will all but kill our chances. Going 1-2 won't be the end of the world, but it will hurt our chances greatly.

These ones scare me a little though. Anaheim always seems to give us grief and LA has picked it up lately. To make matters worse, even if they underestimate us and play their back-ups, both teams have decent options.

I remember that game against L.A. late last year on HNIC where it was a tense 1-0 or 2-1 game, man that was a great game.

We suck worse against backups anyway so prefer to play the starter.. Kipper is the X factor to give us a chance in these next 3.

I hope they play MacD inbetween. I know Kipper has had a lot of rest, but would prefer to keep him as fresh as possible.

Emerson Etem doesn't have a goal yet, which scares me a little. It seems like players are always scoring a first career goal against us.

Any players looking for milestone goals? That will likely happen too.

I am going to the first 2 games of this road trip and have a 4-0 road record live. Unfortunately all this wins were witnessed in Rexall Place. If Kipper keeps up his play I like our chances moving forward. Backlund is not too far away and the Flames have a couple trade chips to work with to improve the team (not the 1st rounder)

They do have a chance. If they can come out of the Cali trip with 3 points and get wins against the bubble teams like Nashville, Stars, Av's, and maybe Detroit, they would be looking good going into trade deadline. They also play Blue jackets and Oilers twice each durring that span.

The hard part is April were they play 9 of 15 on the road. They also finish the season with a 4 game road trip against the central division.

The hard part for now is this weekend. Not hard to see them going 0-3 against those teams. They played well last night but will have to play better than that against ANA and LA.

If Kipper has a great game on Friday with a win, they have to keep rolling him.

If we are trying to win these games, then I sure as heck hope that McDonald does not see the net.

Last night showed that you need big saves to win games, it can't be a 4-3. 5-4 win every night. Our goalies have let us down a lot this year, the team in general has been brutal, but we got the elite saves from Kipper we are used to, no way we can go back to the debacle of McDonald/Taylor/Irving.

Its Kipper every night going forward.
