The Hornets deserve to lose, but it always helps when the refs want to call out of bounds when it isn't even in doubt he was in bounds. Unfortunetly probably won't change much under Adam Silver.

It's called the star system. Play in LA, Chicago or New York, or be one of the biggest stars like LeBron and Durant and magically you go to the foul line way more than the Bucks or Jazz. David Stern known the NBA, unlike other leagues, is driven by stars, and he decided long ago to have a tiered reffing system in that regard. What is a foul against Monte Ellis is not a foul against Kobe Bryant. It's what makes the NBA a joke equivalent to wrestling to most sports fans.

I'm sorry, but if you don't like the way the league is being run then why don't you just not watch it at all? You said earlier in the thread you'd rather watch NCAA ball over the NBA.
Are you implying anyone actually enjoys the way Stern runs things? He's about big markets and TV ratings, hence why he hates the Spurs and can only tolerate the Thunder because Durant is so obviously the 2nd best player in the league. The NBA is entertainment and fun to watch, but Stern's NBA has been notoriously untrustworthy to the general fan. You watch most NBA games and the things they don't call are alarming (travelling being absurdly undercalled) and the fouls you do see sometimes, well, don't actually exist. But yeah college, as a pure form of basketball, is much better than the NBA. The NBA, as entertainment, is much better than college (except for the tournament of course)

College BB in the early 90s and late 80s was the better game. But college BB has been decimated by players leaving for the NBA early. Duncan probably represents the last generation of college players who routinely stayed 4 years in a program.
I haven't been watching March madness in the last ten years because the lack of continuity of players. NBA could survive Stern's manipulation because there are not substitutes. If EPL is run the Stern's way, people will just turn to the Spanish league and so on.
Don't watch a lot of BB, but I saw the end of the Raptors vs. the Kobes last night, when I realized the Flames were a lost cause against the Ducks. Was quite an exciting game that went into OT that the Raps eventually lost by one point. They could've/should've won if it wasn't for Kobe shooting some amazing 3 pointers and Gay missing some clutch 2 pointers at the end. Was good to see the Raps keeping up with them though, even though I realize the lakers aren't that hot anymore.
The Lakers are just absolutely terrible defensively. If they had even an average defense I think they could maybe make a run, but you can't let teams score 110 a night and expect to be able to outscore them all the time.

Kobe goes down with a sever ankle sprain by landing on the oot of his defender on the last shot of the game.
Out indefinately.
More drama in Laker land. Expect a lot of two ball between Howard and Nash, and for someone to teach Howard how to properly roll o he basket and be a threat to score.

That move by Dahntay Jones was freaking dirty. For all the complaints that Kobe gets too many calls, that should have been a foul. You can't walk into the space a shooter is going to land in and that goes triple when the guy is shooting a freaking fadeaway.
Hopefully Kobe is out for a long time but it didn't look that bad when he was walking off and hard to imagine KoMe will take that much time off if he can get back out there and continue to pad his stats.

What a horrible comment.. I don't like kobe or the lakers but I am a sports fan and having kobe hurt is not good for the sport.
I'm not quite gonna go the moon route, but that in no way is a dirty play. A dirty play would be kicking the leg out, a commonly dirty play. Running out and under guys happens every game many times. In fact for fun I watched the highlights on the Score this morning and saw it on half the jump shot highlights. It's bad luck for the Lakers, but nothing malicious or dirty.

Not necessarily dirty but something that needs to be looked at and called more often.
Surprised there aren't actually more injuries from it because as mention it is something that happens quite often.
