According to MacLean, only rah rah talkers in the room are worth $6.8m, so Bouwmeester is not worth it, even after calling him a top shutdown guy that can go toe to toe with anyone in the league, and, ignoring his offensive instincts that still aren't putting up enough points for him.
This is why the guy is sitting in Toronto behind a desk.

No. He's not moving laterally as much as Kiprusoff when he's 100%. There's a lot less movement when the puck is behind the net.
