+8 over 14 playoff games last year while averaging 22 minutes per game.
Somebody will give him a look, if we didn't already have Sarich and Babchuk in the press box I would give him a look.

He should be a claim if he makes it to the flames.

A healthy scratch for a team worse than us, $3.5 million, and would take up the last of our 50 contracts.
No thanks.

The Leafs should get him to play with Phanuef again. The last time Phaneuf looked good in the NHL was with Hamrlik...

He would make sense for Calgary only if Calgary had a rookie core of D. I really think Hammer was great for Phaneuff. No way Calgary even thinks about claiming him.
I hope a contender puts a claim on him. I always liked him.

This kind of confirms what i thought Anton's trade value was. That being zero. Granted Hamrlik has a chance to be picked up on waivers. Not sure Anton would.

I'm a big Hamrlik fan (although admittedly haven't watched him this season.) I don't see how he would be a worse option than Smith, Butler, or Sarich on the third pairing.

If he clears I'd offer to trade Babchuk for him.

Why not Butler? It would make it a lot easier for us in the game threads.

Makes no sense unless Washington is trying to clear cap room to bring in a big D.
Alzner, Carlson and Green are the only D better than hamrlik right now. With Orlov down the road. That leaves 2 spaces in their top 6.

Flames should claim him. Then trade for Phaneuf and we can relive Phaneuf's glory years... er, year.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Hamrlik lost job because 4 left D ahead of him - Alzner, Erskine, Poti, Schultz. Oates insists lefties play left. We'll see if he's claimed.
