He had Chara fooled as well. Vancouver still does it better than Boston, or any other team in the league. The Bruins might have some divers, but Vancouver recruits these guys on purpose.

Can't forget this beauty either.

Marchand is a ratball, I will agree there, but he's nowhere close to the calibre of Burrows.

Any diving thread is going to involve Vancouver. It's stuff like this that helped them to the finals, and the NHL won't do anything about it.

Canuck fans, THIS ^^^^^^ is your hero.

I've said it once, I'll say it again. I will take my hapless, mediocre Flames any day of the week, over that group of pathetic wining punks you worship and idolize. The Canucks are the most unlikable, dishonourable, disgraceful, insult to the game of hockey.... perhaps in all of sports. Top to bottom.

I do believe the NHL is out to get them now, and I do believe they don't get the calls anymore. Good. They earned their rep, and the league will all but guarantee the officials make sure they don't win a cup any time soon. A Canucks championship would be an insult to the game of hockey and the NHL will not allow it. I love it that the Canucks are being cheated out of wins. It makes me giddy seeing the officiating being called so lop sided against them. In fact I get off on it. And it makes it even better when we win, when we really shouldn't, because the league is out to get the Canucks... which they obviously are. The fact they are already showing signs of mediocrity with their aging core, means you will not have a chance at at Cup for about 20 more years. And I am sure, in the year 2033, when you get another shot in the final, but get beat down by the 4th year expansion Hamilton Welders there will be more riots in a dystopian version of Vancouver that resembles Old Detroit from the Robocop films. You will 63 years into existence with no cup, and the last Canadian team in existence, without one, as the Senators will have 2 by then.

So keep on with your awesome traditions of thinking your original and awesome for looking at two losers dink outlines in green spandex that stole an idea from a US College, and embracing a white towel waving tradition that is the international symbol of surrender. It suits you well.

Always liked Claude Julien, but him calling his own team on diving makes my respect go up for him ten fold. I am Glad he is addressing this. And for the record, I never liked Marchand and now I dislike him even more.

He wasn't calling out his own team.

Burrows hasn't submarined anyone lately.

He was calling out the Canadiens, and a Canadien's fan edited his press conference with examples of his own team diving.

pretty embarrasing stuff there.

don't care what jersey ur wearing, play like a man, and quit with the dramatics in effort to gain a call.

it's good to see perpetual divers actually finally get hurt and have to sit out, as it sure feels like justice for these boys crying wolf. Happy to see Kesler getting hit with the injury bug, and hope all divers call on karma doing this stuff, even if it's a flame.

There's a reason why that was my least favorite Stanley Cup Finals of all time. The two most unlikeable teams with the two most unlikeable fanbases in all of hockey.

Soccer has always been a joke with the diving, the NBA has become unwatchable with all the flopping, and now the NHL is headed that direction. The league really needs to get this under control with suspensions for conduct detrimental to the game.

Sorry, but Seguin didn't dive against Emelin. That cross check would probably have winded anyone

Marchand is terrible but the fact still remains that if a top 10 list of the worst divers in the game was made, 6 would probably be Canucks.

1. Kesler
2. Brown
3. Burrows
4. Marchand
5. Luongo
6. Lapierre
7. Ribeiro
8. Carcillo
9 and 10. The Sisters

Canucks are still in a class of their own when it comes to diving. I thank them for bringing it to the leagues attention 2 years ago, and probably destroying their chances of ever getting to the SCF again.

Cool story bro.

Has he bit anyone lately?

Pulled anyone's hair lately?

Maybe he's not a absolute disgrace to the game of hockey and men in general after all....

Don't think it was a Canadiens fan. The YouTube user's handle matches that of a (very whiny) Canucks fan on HFBoards.

The Bruins and Canucks are the same crap coming from different directions. The absolute heights of hypocrisy.

I'd like to see blatant embellishment "rewarded" with post-game suspensions. Diving and embellishment won't stop until that happens. Some players are willing to sacrifice their integrity for a powerplay, and the refs can't see every time that they're being conned. We live in an era of HD, multiple camera angles, and virtually every game is televised, so it would be foolish not to utilize the technology to nail the blatant divers with suspensions.

I still don't think that these two are dives - the first one there is a chop to the foot at the exact same time as the shove to the chest and on the second that is a classic canopener, you can't crossover when there is someone with their stick between their legs, it isn't something that you can battle through.

Edit: the Burrows ones especially are pretty embarrassing though.

haha look at the first gif again. Look at how Sedin's flares out his hands after getting chopped in the shoulder. What caused that exactly? He was embellishing, going down in a heap and diving.

A Habs fan makes a video about the Bruins diving. That is rich.
