SimCity is currently #1 (Physical) and #3 (Download) in terms of sales on AmazonGames.

The issue with roads clipping under terrain (looks like dirt goes over the road) will be fixed in a patch according to Ocean.

Anyone have any familiarity with Origin? If I have Origin installed and logged in will the game autodownload and install whenever its released?
Or do I have to do something manually to install it?

Unfortunately it will not autodownload, AFAIK. At or after 10:01 PM you will have to go in to Origin and click on the game and then click "Download".

Edit 2: Okay as far as I know, Origin should automatically download the game as long as the client is open. It does this for BF3. The lack of a pre-load is a wierd decision considering you could do this with both Battlefield and Crysis.

Getting excited again over the game after adjusting my expections. This wont be a megapolis building game like Cities XL and it wont be Sc2k, it's a much smaller much more detailed game. Hopefully bugs will be smoothed and maps enlarged but I'll give it an honest chance as its own game tonight/tomorrow

I'm glad you'll be in game!
We should create a region some time.

While I am sure there was a reason, I am a little concerned about the lack of a pre-load.
First day or two will probably be pretty rocky.

Yeah..I kinda conflated two ideas I had at the time into one post - one, that he isn't interested in emergent behavior at the micro layer rather than statistical behaviour at the macro layer, and number 2, he seems unwilling to deal with dynamic situations - it's almost like he'd rather have a cityscape paint program at some levels.

Not yet confirmed for Mac. Spring 2013 is the only indication so far from Maxis.

I think for folks like that who want to build giant cities without worrying too much about ultra details are likely going to enjoy Cities XL more. In cities XL it`s literally just plopping things down in proper balance with zero regard for much else. You can certainly make some draw dropping beautiful cities but they don`t feel "alive"
I can`t wait to have to adjust for things like property values, location, etcs

ya i'm coming to terms with what the game will be (plus aside from Anno 2070 i have nothing else to play right now). the thing that kept me from cancelling was mainly the CP region, i really want to see how cities work together first hand. i make no guarantee how active i'll be in it though, just have to wait and see how the game grabs me

Region 2 is best region!
(seriously though, how cool would it be to have a 30+ city super region)

Back in December there was a murmur from Maxis that they were considering 32 x 32 km regions. I would imagine it would also have additional cities.
I would expect we will see these things in the future.

Any ETA on when you'll have the game worth?
