Anyone else hear Kerr's orgasm while saying "into the croOOOwwd" at the end of the period. This after proclaiming the Avs were up 2-0.

Kerr's catch phrase is "Where is it?!"

There are a lot of play-by-play guys that I don't love but I have to say that Kerr makes Flames games harder to watch for me then other games where I really don't care who is playing. Kerr is just awkward. I dot know how else to describe it. Really random vocabulary, random voice pitch and emphasis, lots of wrongfully anticipated calls...Just lots of little things that when combined make for a bad experience.
Just my observations though. I'm sure some enjoy him. I'd be pretty happy to go back to any of the recent voices of the Flames though.

Lots of people are wound too tight if they even notice the play by play tonight. Kerr and Simmer have been solid.
I get it - when the Flames struggle, I like to unload on the refs. It is easier to hate on Kerr than the Flames, but the hate on Kerr is really unwarranted right now.

haha..i find it so amusing that a pbp guy can garner so much attention from people. He is usually entertaining to me....and if he isnt, then i simply turn the sound off and the issue is dealt with.

The last two weeks he's been doing his job; communicating the emotion of the game. I don't need him to be perfect, I just need him to not put me to sleep.

I prefer a Kerr who shows emotion then the guys that commentate Golf or Curling.
For what it's worth I've met Kerr and he's a very nice guy. I cant say anything bad about him personally.

That was the problem though. Tonight he was all over the place, and wasn't really reflecting the mood of the game.

He's not just hosting the game anymore, he's actually doing a vague approximation of his job. He's not great, but he's now interesting.
