The truth is, your need to be an attention whore led you into a position where you couldn't stand the idea of your comments being buried in a thread that's expanding by about 50 posts every quarter hour. You needed your rant to be in big, bright lights.
|
Maybe you should take a look and see how many threads I've started before you brought out the whore statement as it's what one or two anually at best. For once at CP can you please stop being such a jerk?

If the thing about ROR having to clear waivers is true Feaster should be fired immediatly. That would have been one of the worst moves in history.

Feaster is making (by design or accident doesn't matter - end result does) a division opponent pay an overrated player 6.5 million a year or more from here on out. And for that he should be fired?

According to Eric D on the fan radio just now, "Ken King basically runs hockey operations."
Fire Feaster or Fire King?

The fact that if Colorado didn't match, then calgary loses those picks and RoR on waivers certainly should put him up for firing.
When he makes Kevin Lowe look competent there is something seriously wrong. And this comes from an oiler fan.

I would say Feaster would've had this year, and next to have a good run at it and give him basically 4 years on the job before his bosses would be demanding the answers.
This "misinterpreation" and then lack of bothering to ask the rule maker about the rule likely is something that could cut that down by a year, and then you'd have to ask yourself why bother if he's not going to be around until that point (ie this summer) if they don't really think he'll be around for the fallout, and thus in charge of, a potential trade deadline sell off and dealing with the Iginla issue, draft, and UFA's.

Both? Seriously though King isn't going anywhere at least until the new arena is brokered.

Exactly.
I can't say fire someone until I know whose idea the mistake was.
We can't say he has his hands tied and is told what to do, and then fire the guy for making a mistake.

Tough to respect a guy who gets into a situation knowing he'll be a yes man.

IDK, there some pretty big construction company CEOs in latter years in AB that might like Ken's job. Any of them would be better connected.
Get the arena done, and Flames CEO post would make a nice patronage/active retirement job.

Its probably why we don't have the Burke/Carlyse combo here. Hard to imagine those guys letting someone tell them how to do their job.

They did match. It's all moot and speculation anyway.

You only hit the drug lord. This isn't Minority Report. You can't convict people for crimes not committed.

It does bring up the question of does this fiasco fall at the feet of King or Feaster? It's not out of the realm of possibility Feaster is taking the bullet for his boss.

Colorado matched.. It's been established. Bob Mackenzie said the papers were filed last night. There is enough reason to pick on the Flames today, people don't need to make things up.
Besides, I couldn't see a GM blackmailing a team in a situation like this.

Wait, so this move was planned by Feaster to screw up another teams salary structure??
So if the Avs hadn't matched, then the Flames would have an overrated 6.5m player?
The scary thing for me if i was a Flame fan, is the fact that Feaster identified him as a 'franchise' player.
