Yikes...waiting to see an actual statement from Daly and the Flames on this...but that evidence is pretty damning.
If this truly was an oversight by Feaster then he needs to be fired.

It seems like it's because of the fact that ROR played after the start of the season or something? In which case he would have effectively screwed himself on other potential offers from other teams? You'd think ROR's agent would have been privy to this - although we still have no idea if any these articles have merit

Wow, if Feaster didn't know about this, he needs to go. That would have been the biggest error you possibly could make as a GM. He better have had a plan for this, a way to get around it or something, otherwise he's the dumbest manager in the league.

We would have given up our 1st, 3rd, 2.5M, only had O'Reilly for 1 year at 6.5M before having to qualify him...just wow.

I think Colorado looks like morons as well. If they knew about this, and they had first crack back at O'Reilly, they could have walked away with a 1st, a 3rd, and a signed O'Reilly.

According to the Kontinental Hockey League's website, O'Reilly - who was unsigned until Thursday night - played for Metallurg Magnitogorsk on Jan. 21 and Jan. 23 (written in the game sheets as 'Rayan O Rayli').
