Only 2 observations thru the nite.
Avs are a pretty crappy hockey team.
The avs are better than the flames.
I look forward to glencross and cammaleri not being on the team soon. They both frigin suck this year.
Hurdler has been very good.

I'm embarrassed to be a Flames fan.
Worst part of that? SwiftKey predicted that statement after the first word

Sunday night was the most excited I've been as a flames fan in recent history. Tonight was the most depressing in recent history.
Complete 360 in 5 days. Here's hoping we lose 7 straight.
On the contrary to popular belief, I feel Feaster has done an awesome job with the cards he was dealt. There are good pieces on this team. Now let's see if he can get something for some of the vets that have stepped up lately. Cammy, Iggy, Tanguay should all be getting shopped right now, they've all been decent offensively. We've been on this Teeter/Totter for too long now.
We need change.....

I was prepared to throw Calgary back into the playoff picture just hours ago.
Now I just can't look at them.

That's basically what the Flames are doing. Hopefully they find water and their way out of the desert instead of being vulture food.

Good, they will be just as pillowy soft as the Flames when you throw in the towels as them. Can't risk them getting hurt after all.

seems to me we burn through players as well (except for Iginla and Kipper) and things keep gradually getting worse and worse

Uhh, this team needs a wake up call. The fact that they thought it was going to be easy.... says everything. This is a team individuals

This made me LOL. There is not an intelligent hockey observer in the world who thinks Sutter was the problem, yet there are still a few haters who hold on to the faith that firing Sutter was a good move. Hartley just has to go 7 games over .500 to match Sutter.

Watching Jarome Iginla try to explain away another loss is like listening to your best friend explain how they accidentally killed your dog.
You don't want to be mad, because he's your best friend. But he kind of killed your ****ing dog.

losses grind on you. Doesn't matter if they are exciting or not...
People have to understand, that for whatever reason, it isn't working... and a few flashes here and there doesn't change that fact.
Blowing it up is not a guarantee for success. At the same time, the tinkering, which we have been doing the last 3 years, is also not working.
Not sure how much longer we need to watch this team flounder to understand this...
The goal of any organization IS NOT to make the playoffs. Its to win the Stanley Cup. This team is not close to the former, and certainly light years away from the latter.

There isn't a friggin coach in the world that could save this team.
You could take the last ten Jack Adams winners, melt them down and combine them into one giant sized super coach, and he could stand right where Hartley is standing now and watch this team fumble **** their way through yet another season.
The only way a coach could save this team, is if he and his assistants were capable of being elite NHL centers, and doubled as players.
Bob Hartley must be kicking himself right now.

What an organization. Can't remember a worse day in a long time.
I'm also pissed off that Jarome Iginla is going to leave and probably become unpopular because of massive mismanagement as an organization. I mean if the team had even half as good drafting as seemingly EVERY other team has had, he would have been a piece that would be allowed to slow down and slowy transition his importance over. But no, he's still relied on to be everything and when he can't due to the laws of physics he'll get raked over the coals.
If there are any of the drafting personel after this season it's a tragedy they should be shot.
Eff off Glencross and Butler too.

Surprise Surprise.
I can't fathom how management can possibly be in win now mode when even Gretzky in his prime couldn't save this team.
Also, All 5 teams I had winning on my proline were winning after the the 3 intermission and all but two lost it. F***
Also, have to bring up this gem:
