Lucky to leave that period with a 2-goal lead. They played well for a few minutes late in the period but were listless for the first 12 minutes or so and it has become pretty much standard practice for these guys to simply stop playing after getting an early lead.

Flames started that period with zero effort like they usually do, but thankfully they picked it up as the period wore on and started moving their feet and competing again. Come out with a solid 3rd and we`ve got this one.

was gonna say this. he prevents a lot of scoring chances the hard way.

No because he usually puts himself out of position to block a shot. The first goal was a direct result of him trying to block the shot instead of being in the right position.

He causes chaos when he blocks a shot. There is a time and place for blocking a shot. Not every shot needs to be blocked.
