he can be replaced yes, but it's a disconcerting trend
I don't think Goetze and Reus could be replaced and how far away are they from a move to Spain or England
the money is just too big there, and in Germany outside Bayern it's not

Where does Lewandowski fit in England? City are pretty set up front with Aguero, Dzeko, and Tevez. Same goes for United. Really, I think it will come down to one of the three London clubs. I suppose Madrid could be considered, as he's likely an upgrade on Benzema and Higuain.

Man U and Bayern seem like the rumoured destinations. Both don't really make sense as niether are exactly hurting in the forward department.
As a Poland fan first and foremost, this move scares me as I wouldn't be suprised if he ends up on the bench a lot more. Then again he was leading the Bundesliga in scoring before his suspension.

Yeah, and Mario Gomez was one of the top strikers in the world last season, but his ass is seeing a lot of bench anyways. It happens.

Rooney starts on the bench for United, kind of a shocker.

Doesn't change much for Madrid. They needed a road goal regardless.

No good feeds for the Dortmund - Donetsk match. Had to turn off the only one that worked. Uefa.com it is!

Absolutely pathetic officiating. Likely ruins what could have been a classic game.

50% of soccer games are ruined by officiating. I'm not sure where they get these guys. Literally, there are better referees in Calgary.

You expect that kind of garbage call if Man U was playing Barcelona.
Hopefully that doesn't change the outcome and this is the first of two d-bag Spamish teams going out.

That made me laugh and throw up in my mouth a little bit. Ref''s here don't even know about football let alone how to officiate any sort of rec league. As much as I dislike the fact that Madrid now have an extra man, that is red for two reasons. One, because of the danger that a high kick carries, even if there is no injury at all as a result. and 2nd, Nani's dive pretending to be the injured party.
