How come your gf isn't doing this? Is it not her couch?

I actually have a free couch you can have. Doesn't smell. Just come and get it.

I'll post a pic later.

Hard for her to do that AND pretend nothing is wrong with it. (See post #23)

Won't actually help the problem in any way, but you can pretend it's gone for a brief moment in time. Hopefully, you can convince your girlfriend that you've done a great job in that brief moment. The rest is up to you.

Come pick this up. It's FREE. Serious. PM me, and I'll give you my address. I live in the NE.

I feel so sorry for you that I have to give you this couch.

If this were 1946 that couch would be brand new and be mint.

DJ, Flylock is in Vancouver.

A very generous offer, thank you

As FF noted though, I'm not in the neighbourhood unfortunately.

On the bright side though, since I couldn't get to fixing this thing properly today, I gave it a few spritzes of cologne just to take the edge off. Now it smells like what I'd imagine Mr. T would have smelled like when he was going on his first date.

What material is the couch made from?

Don't waste money on cleaners either. Use dish soap and vinegar; a professional cleaner said it does the same thing.

An upholstery cleaner might work, but if the foul stench of death is in the padding, you might have to replace that crap too.

Good thing you got a rug doctor,as it is steaming mad at dirt.

Don't bother buying a steamer, there is a big difference between a $150 unit and a rug doctor.....
