a capped out team whos best players are going to be hanging em' up in the near future shouldn't be struggling to get above .500
Its not this game alone people are mad about its the lack of intensity overall...its like they don't even realize what it will take to actually make it. A miracle and they get 8th and play Chicago in the first round, cant wait

Using that quote should be a bannable offense.

However the team is approaching things after a loss, it's clearly not working. Getting angry might actually do some good.

0 points is 0 points. Blame the ice time all you want, the guy has to do something with it.

Rookie and coming back from injury, he gets a pass from me...Cervenka needs to do much better.

"Road game this, road game that". This team hasn't shown anything spectacular at home ice anyhow, so I don't care if it's a road game or not, WIN.

This is on the top players not skating on the PP, not the coach.
|
If they aren't skating why are you putting them out over and over again?
Also to blame Cervenka and Baertschi for that shorthanded chance against isn't accurate. It was a terrible outlet pass into the skates of Baertschi by either Gio or Brodie that led to the opportunity against. With the way the other 2 unites were coughing it up and giving up chances you would think they would get another opportunity.
Also when I played hockey you earned PP time. If things weren't going well you sat and waited till you got another opportunity. All the top guys on the team want to play the PP, if you send a msg and sit them maybe the next time they come out with more of a purpose.
Hartley was terrible tonight, just like the team in front of him.
The only positive in this game was Mcdonald period.

calgary can still sneak into 8th and most likely will get ripped a new one by chicago. but it should be about the future start rebuild now or you pay the consequences

Ugly game. Refs dictated the awful flow. PP was abysmal. Hope that plug gets suspended for the hit on Stajan, but likely won't since Stajan played out the game. Faceoffs continue to be a complete joke. Can't believe Gio took that stupid ####ing penalty.
Huge save by Joey Mac to get us the point, at least. But the "at leasts" aren't really good enough anymore. We got a point yes, but the divisional rival we're battling for a playoff spot with got two.

I think the worst thing that happened in that 3rd period was getting a 4 minute powerplay. Even 2 there would have been better. They looked like they were the ones who wanted the 4 minutes to pass. Awful pp tonight, though the Wild were good on the pk too. No need for so many people to be overdramatic about a loss in a close game with little flow.
Macdonald deserved a win. Oh well, even more important to win in Colorado now. Go Flames Go!

How long does that pass last though?
Hands up if you thought Sven would have more than zero points in 8 games?

Those calling Sven, Cervenka etc to the PP.... There are PP lines for a reason. They spend much more time practicing the system. I agree it was dismal tonight however its not as easy as tossing a new random 3 out. Our PP has been great all year and struggled against a GREAT pk tonight.
Why so many of you think Sven or Cervenka has earned a thing is beyond me. Yes they are talented players but they have done very little this year. It will come.... tossing them on the PP just because is not the right way to go about things.

How about not scoring a pp goal in the previous 4 games?

I do indeed have low expectations for this team. I thought overall it was a typical Wild game - namely awful. But the effort wasn't bad.

PP was awful.
Liked the defensive game. Stellar goaltending may have made it look better than it was.
Embarrassment? Not even close. Wild PK was on fire.

Pp needed more babs. But we need some good centres to chit chat the refs. The calls don't tend to go your way when you piss off the stripes in the faceoff dot.

He needs to hit the A and bulk imo. He looks weak on the puck out there imo.

So in a goal game when clearly the 2 top units are doing squat your not going to try and mix things up? I'm sorry I don't care how good they've been this year, in a 1 goal game when things were going as badly as they were, you change things up. The couldn't even set up, 1 shot in 9 minutes.
