Why does Hartley insist on the 2nd unit of glencross hudler and stempniak. Lets get some skill out there with Sven and roman. That powerplay was downright shameful, and bob isn't doing his job.

So what happens if Stajan is out long term now? Just slide yet another winger over to the center position? Darn Bloody shame if that happens.

Stuff like that is what leads to Flames going down that same path again; not taking advantage of key situations. We've seen that type of stuff before with this team. Failure to have killer instinct has always come back to bite them in the ass. They're lucky to not even be trailing after that period. Wild flat out dominated them.

Why Hartley refuses to use Sven on the PP is beyond me.

ALL of the forwards were absolutely and equally horrid during that PP.
Here is how it works...they have 4, the Flames have 5.
If the 5 flames players are working at 80 percent and the 4 wild players are at 100 percent...guess what, no advantage.

As for the pp... I thought it was Minnesota playing lights out aggressive more than it was a bad pp by the flames. Still shoulda scored but we can't be "furious" over it.
A goal in the first 5 minutes would be nice.

Because zero shots on a 5 minute powerplay is so confidence inspiring. I don't
think anyone has said they are going to lose the game but a one goal lead going into the 3rd period after being thoroughly dominated and fortunate to be up by a goal means this game is far from a win and they have to play much better in the 3rd period or it's back to below .500.

Hey, if it's good enough for three lines, it's good enough for all four!

Hartley was probably rendered speechless at the complete stupidity of everyone on the 5 min nothing PP.

Wes Gilbertson @SUNGilbertson Hearing that #Flames C Matt Stajan likely will be back on the ice in the third period.

Just once I'd like to see a "GO FLAMES" in one of your posts. Instead you have some "gut" feeling that the wheels are going to come off.
Sure, the 5 minute PP sucked. Let it go. The Flames have lead the game for 40 minutes and just need 20 more.
